Gears of War 3 will run at 30FPS.

'Gears of War chap, Cliff Bleszinski, has clarified rumours on the frame rate for Gears Of War 3. It appears that this time they are favouring better graphics but at the cost of the frame rate.'Our target is, and shall remain, 30fps,'he said, 'When asked about 60 we always respond that we'd rather have the extra juice to put more on screen and stick with 30.'The clarification has been prompted after a Russian magazine published an articleon the upcoming game. According to the magazine the game will feature a new weapon which fires grenades under the ground with the explosive tunelling it's way towards your target. Each gun in the game will feature it's own unique execution move and multiplayer maps will feature constantly crumbling and evolving landscapes.'SourceIt's funny when a PS3 game comes out that easily looks better than just about anything on the 360, be it Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, God of War 3, etc. the lemmings quickly say 'Oh well that game doesn't run at 60fps so no wonder it looks good!. Well, I find it hilarious that the next big title for the 360, Gears of War 3, will be running at 30fps in the name of better looking graphics. I like the evolving levels idea.It still won't look as good as the PS3's finest exclusives.
