Why do hermits feel that a build at home system counts for being cheap? Whats the cheapest computer I can go into a store and buy that will play this game maxed out.

You only need 400... xD!!! My pc has 2.4 ghz but its not a core xD! 1 gig of ram=50 dollars. Nvidia 7300=73 dollars... LOL!!!! CAKES. you really on need 400.
a Dell 530 is 349 with 1 gig of ram put 70 dollars in it for a 7300. you have spent like 425 dollars? OMFG!!! xD Learn some PC specs before thinking a pc cost 3000. only a xps with 4 gig of ram,Nvidia 8800,and Quad Core(Clocked at 3.2 ghz) takes that much xD.

Why in God's name would you buy a Dell/Acer etc POS package deal? For convenience's sake?
Of course a "build at home" system counts for being cheap. It counts a lot more for being cheap than a silly factory-produced PC counts for being expensive. No PC gamer is foolish enough to buy a mass-market factory PC. The reason those Dells and stuff cost more is because they know you are intimidated by specs and components and acronyms.
You don't need to know anything about computers to build your own rig. Go to a store, pick out all your parts, buy them, have them assembled by some geek in the store for a nominal fee. You don't even have to know what RAM is. There will be a warranty on all of the individual parts.
Simply put, "going to the store and buying" and "cheap" should not be in the same sentence. DIY is both cheaper and better.
There are some companies, like Alienware, that make gaming rigs that you can just go to a store and pick up, but they are absurdly expensive. Its always in your best interests to buy the components and have them assembled/DIY.
