I played the HELL out of uncharted 2 and it was definitely a great game but it's cover based shooting was not nearly as good as gears was. Have you played Gears before? It wasn't just shoot, move, shoot move, you could decide how to approach a situation, how to take out your enemies or which route to go. It's executions, grabbing enemies as meat shields, it's deployable cover, grenade tagging, sniping, tagging enemies with explosive arrows, it literally had TONS of ways to go about killing.

Not only that but you could co-op the entire campaign. The uncharted series is great but as a stand alone straight up action game it doesn't hold a candle to gears in my opinion.XileLord

Gears 3 feels so much like Gears 1. The MP just hasn't changed. Prepare to be outclassed if you don't get your Gnasher skills down. With the new details of UC3 multplayer I'm way more hyped for that than Gears 3.

Being a lemming I found Gears 2's single player superior. Doesn't change the fact that He is basing his argument on gameplay elements that have existed since the games first started therefor his argument is that since uncharted as a series has superior gameplay and the like and because uncharted 3 improves upon that superiority that means it will stomp gears 3.
In reality Uncharted 1 and 2 maintain a lower average of score therefor maintain inferiority when compared to gears of war as a series.
So Uncharted series+game reviews=lower average scores+Uncharted series+sales=lower sales=Inferior series to gears of war which has higher average score at gamespot AND metacritic as well as higher sales. More people enjoyed gears of war as a series...

Sure UC might have more variety of gameplaying styles. But the core gameplay of Geow destroys UC's basic shooting gameplay. They're both equally good.

Ok, so at times a game selling a ton more than another may not mean that it is better is what you just admitted. Could this not be the case here as well? I am not saying sales are NEVER higher for a better game. I am saying they don't prove anything.

Did you really think that Gears of War 2 campaign was better? Man, can't even give a PS3 game a little credit where it outshines pretty much every game in its genre. Uncharted 3 could be crowned the best game ever by every review publication and it wouldn't change your opinion about the series because it's:

1) A PS3 exclusive

2) Will likely sell less than Gears of War 3

A lot of those people who have enjoyed Gears of War probably don't know or care for Uncharted because they don't constantly look for information on the game and it's on the PS3, which is less popular in the US and the US is the main region that is upsessed with shooters.

I am not a fanboy of any sort, but this lemming has always got on my nerves. He always posts in such condescending ways as if he knows the truth about everything, as if everything Ps3 is lesser in quality to that of the average 360 game, and he always has baseless and unstructured opinions. If someone manages to outsmart him or god forbid prove him wrong, he will simply just ignore you. I don't hate the guy, but he is always bashing the PS3, and I find it to be humorous in most cases, but sometimes he just pushes that one button.

I'll leave the graphics debate for everyone else right now.

My instincts are telling me that U3 will be the better game overall. I love both games, but from what I've seen, U3 is doing so much more. When you combine that with ND's ambition to top themselves, their goal to have the "premiere multiplayer game", along with the layer of polish they lather onto their games, I can't help but to think otherwise.
