It's one of the most fun I've played for a long, long time. However "best" might be a bit too much. For all the things the gameplay did right, there things were the game just didn't live up in any way or shape.

TPS Third Person Shooter. TLOU was third person and had a lot of shooting in it. Yes it was stealthy, if you chose to play it that way but you didnt have to. So yes it counts as a TPS.

Vanquish was awesome though. 2nd best TPS this gen.

That final boss battle, man. SO FVCKIN EPIC.

You have good taste. But it should be obvious to everybody that Vanquish is unrivaled by pretty much anything else in the shooter genre when it comes to gameplay. Even other good TPS like Gears look relatively lackluster by comparison.

Gears 3 creams it in almost every way.

And I completely agree, Vanquish is by far the most fun I've had playing a TPS.

Sorry but Vanquish is only good in it's absolute core gameplay. It's short as hell, repetitive, has lame weapons, has no multiplayer, and features lousy music, art, and story elements, even by the low standards of the TPS genre.
