Yeah, the crowd at Sony's show really seemed to be feelin' it.

Natal is navigation, gaming and social interaction without a hand device. That (if it works) is some Minority Report Sci-fi gaming. Peter Molyneux's demo had me floored.
The big three considering going digital distribution (as with the PSP Go). This will be huge to Gamestops bottom line when full retail games are sold on XBLive, PSN and WiiWare stores...
Ringo Starr calling MS Conference "this game show." :)

generally i was happy with this years e3. was i impressed? no, but i was satisfied, i like how microsoft didnt shove its yearly numbers in your face, but i didnt like how they didnt show any new IPs
sony's was great but im pissed that they didnt talk about any changes or any sweet new features to their online component
nintendo...metroid was freakin awesome!!!!....that was it, yes galaxy looked great but it looked exactly the same as the first with the exception on yoshi
i think sony had the best conference.
the new games they showed made up for them showing the gimmicky controller.
The Agent, FFXIV, MGS PSP, GT PSP, RE PSPas well asthat kart racing game.
This doesn't mean they won e3 though.
e3 has just started. maybe the big 3 have more up thier sleeves?

Again, I was making the analogy that because Publisher/Developer X announces a game for a specific console it isn't major news, not even by gaming news sites. There are no major headlines in either www.ign.com, www.1up.com or www.gamespot.com. It might personally be big news to some fans, but I don't believe it's huge news that is a game changer for the industry. That's fine that the dev group that makes GTA IV makes this game.. but remember Rockstar also made State of Emergency. I don't remember it being Game of the Year....
Are we not going by general consensus here on what is huge news? I thought this was stickied for a reason...

Nothing on Rockstar's amazing annoucement...
No Megaton -- nuff said.
I think overall Sony edged MS out, but really not by much. Sony's impact was lessened because so much of their stuff had leaked, or was already announced... still, we saw gameplay from Uncharted 2, MAG, God of War 3, ASSASSINS CREED 2! (looked amazing, which is surprising after the first one being such a disappointment), trailers for a bunch of other games like FF13 and the Project Ico game (already forgot what its called), and got new announcements in the form of Final Fantasy 14 (I am intrigued, MMOs have to be worth the money but I will certainly pay if they are), and Agent, which is a Rockstar North (the GTA branch) exclusive sandbox game. **** NEW PARAGRAPH HERE COME ON GAMESPOT WHAT THE EFF **** MS had a bigger bombshell bringing Kojima out, but really the impact was lessened since it went from being "OMG MGS4 ITS ALL REAL" to "ohhhh a new MGS game, cool". Natal was cool but they totally overhyped how revolutionary it would be and really deified it. I think they could have cut half the Natal performance and showed a lot more of Alan Wake, Splinter Cell, some live gameplay from those two or even Crackdown 2, taken a longer look at Halo Reach. Too much time on Facebook and stuff. Sony I felt also spent too much time on tween crap, but they are both businesses and you have to try and please everyone, so I give them both a pass. **** ANOTHER NEW PARAGRAPH HERE, THIS IS TOTALLY RIDICULOUS **** Overall I think what really owns it for Sony is the quality of their presentation. It was like a well-oiled machine. Jack Tretton was comfortable on stage where the MS guys seemed nervous and shifty. Sony segued everything with electronic music and slick montages. The guys playing the games didn't spend an overly long time on it, though I would have liked to see more of MAG and less of the create-a-cart game (which I actually think is pretty cool). Game for game because of Sony having leaks and MS finally revealing that there is a strong future for MS make them pretty even, but Sony's overall conference was much smoother and, in my opinion, better. I wouldn't separate them by much though, not even a full letter grade. Splinter Cell: Conviction and Alan Wake were the standouts from MS, Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 were standouts for Sony. Assassin's Creed 2 practically stole the show because I was in love with the first game for years, until I finally played it and wished I never had. :P What an exciting couple of days, the next few months are going to seem so boring in here in comparison. I joined Gamespot at just the right time. **** ANOTHER NEW PARAGRAPH I CAN'T BELIEVE ADDING A PAGE BREAK IS SO DIFFICULT FOR YOU **** Oh and I'll be honest, I didn't even watch Nintendo's conference. After last year I figured I wouldn't miss anything, and just the sight of Reggie Fils-Aime makes me physically sick. :P P.S. What the hell is with this forum garbling my messages? Why did I get a paragraph break after the first sentence, and it worked, but not after any of the other ones? Walls of text are one of my pet peeves, and that is all I am getting here. Ego-testicle
it's okay i read your wall of text and i agree pretty much completely, although i think MS had better presentation style, but sony did have better game demos and montages.

Oh so sites determine Megatons now? I thought the gamers did as well? Fair enough, different interpretations I guess.ALSO: Rockstar North is FULL OF WIN :D. They didn't make State of Emergency. They make the Grand Theft Auto games and Manhunt. WIN. WIN. WIN.

that kart racing game sounds really good....racing games become boring because of the tracks becoming too familiar, but that game sounds like it has lifeWow Sony really won E3, hands down.
The Last Guardian (the most incredible game of E3 so far)
- Uncharted 2 with CGI-quality in-game graphics
- Final Fantasy XIV, not coming to 360 this time
- Heavy Rain
- Modnation Racers, the new LBP
- God of War 3
- Agent (PS3 exclusive from Rockstar, paid for by Sony, no hope for a 360 or PC release)
- MAG running at 30 frames per second while hosting a 256 player match
- Gran Turismo 5 with damage modeling, NASCAR races, double the amount of cars in Forza 3, etc
- Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time with Pixar-quality graphics and 60 frames per second + co-op
- The PSP Go with a true Hideo Kojima Metal Gear title on the way, not a lame multiplatform spinoff with crybaby Raiden as the main character, Gran Turismo for PSP and a new Resident Evil
+multiplats
LOL GT5 destroyed Forza 3 which was hyped to the stars.
Gran Turismo 5:
- Rally
- NASCAR
- DAMAGE (fast forward to 1:32)

I want to see more. This game won't be out until 2012...

[QUOTE="2beers_in_hand"]How did Sony win... Microsoft did endless sprees of announcements and gaming, none of that PR crap.Easy better games. Better tech. Anything else you would like to know. As I said MS did okay it wasn't OMG but it wasn't MEH either A solid B if I was to grade it. Sony I would give an A- to a B+. Oh and all MS show consisted of was PRcrap. You must have been razzle dazzled by MR Spielberg and MR Starr and Sir Macharthy teh starpower MS had was amazing.Sony won but MS put on a good conference as well.

A CGI trailer with no gameplay destroys FM3? :? i believe soIs it time for a Who Won E3 poll? Hehe... :PEgo-testicleE3 starts tomorrow... maybe it's time for a who had the best presser?
I think that everyone will agree that Nintendo seems to have lost its commitment to the REAL gamers. They did announce some great Mario games, but other than that, the 3rd party titles were really plain. For the 360, I believe they had a good presentation. Fairly interesting, especially project natal which seems promising. One of the advantages Microsoft has over Nintendo and Sony is that it has revenue which it gets from its gamers and can use that to form such partnerships and add features as it is doing. Well done Microsoft. One final note, project natal was really awesome, however, i think that maybe removing all controller from things is not the best way to go. Full body capture is innovative and all, but when applied to like FPS games and other games of similar context, I don't think the no controller at all will work well. But you never know till it comes out. Sony, I think also had a really great conference. Being a PS3 owner, I am slightly biased towards the PS3, but you've got to give it that they pulled of a great performance. Their game trailers was like one epic game after another. (I am not a 360 owner, so I didn't really get all that excited about their exclusives, and since I hate Halo, their games line didn't seem that great although Alan Wake looks awesome). The eye-toy demo was also really cool. Seems that there will be yet another ware b/w 360 and PS3 on motion control. Personally i think that that war is even and nobody can really win b/c both, natal and the eye toy, in their places deliver exciting expieriences and opportunities for developers. So they are pretty much equal (i am still curious to see if NO controllers will work for Natal). Ultimately, in my opinion Sony and Microsoft had the best E3 with Nintendo really far behind. It is hard to say which one is the best as being a PS3 owner, I would obviously be inclined to say PS3 had the best conference as that is the conference which had the most association with me. I'll leave you to decide which one is the besttrim9001na i think since the wii motion + is here now, you will see a lot more 3rd party developers use it cuz of its further accuracy, and now the sony also has the tech, they wont mind basing there development on that sort gameplay so we should see alot more 3rd party wii games
[QUOTE="Ego-testicle"]Is it time for a Who Won E3 poll? Hehe... :PGundamGuy0E3 starts tomorrow... maybe it's time for a who had the best presser? I was joking, a poll like that would merely be "Who is a fan of which company?" And yes, you're right, there is still a lot more to come.
Since I'm not a blatant fanboy, I'm gonna say that both Sony and MS did a great job with their conferences. Plenty of good loking titles and innovative technology on both sides; exactly what gamers were expecting for, isn't it? ;) I think it's safe to say that the remainder of the year is going to be sweet with all the stuff coming out.
As for Nintendo, meh. No care.
Nintendo done well people. 2 Marios's, SMG2 and Golden Sun.
IMO, not as good as Sony and Microsoft, but that was sort of obvious, wasn't it?:?
Dont forget the best one.. Metroid :)Nintendo done well people. 2 Marios's, SMG2 and Golden Sun.

meh to the PS3 fanboys, all three consoles have major games in the works, but for some reason SONY games make them win e3
oh but sony had more? what, a badly designed PSP? Mario Kart? and motion sensors that wont even get released?
please, from what I can see, ms won
I was actually thinking about getting a PS3, but with no price-cut annoucement and sony's generally lame e3, its for the table.
keep it up fanboys, either way, nintendo's wasn't that great anyway... they would have own if they showed zelda, but it seems like its too much trouble for them... TBH they could throw out any random info they had on zelda's development and they would gone way up
