Interesting to see Variety expecting no Gears of War-2 level announcements at GDC. They are wrong. Stay tuned.

Oh, what can it be? I have no clue. :P Speculate!

EDIT: Before I go bat crap crazy, let me say something. This announcement is an announcement that is on the same level as a Gears 2 or whatever. It's not anything to do with Gears 2, but a AAA-styIe announcement for a new game, and most likely not from Epic.

Some sort of new GeoW Online modes or new DLC, my guess.

It's just GDC, the big news from EPIC is probably being saved for E3.

Guys, he's referring to announcements on the same scale as Gears of War 2 being announced at last year's GDC (for example, if MS announced a game like Forza 3, Perfect Dark 2, Killer Instinct 3 etc.), not announcements regarding new levels for Gears of War 2.

Well, I guess it could be a new Unreal, a new IP, or a new GeoW, but Geez, that seems hopeful for this show. **Crosses fingers**

DLC to fix the netcode, balance, and servers? I'd be down with that.

Instead we'll probably just get another useless map pack. Epic needs to work on fixing their games rather than trying to cash in on them.

What makes you think it'll be from Epic? 99.999% certain it won't be. It's just on the samelevel as the Gears 2 announcement, AKA: AAA game announcement. Get it?

wow. many of you need to learn to read. its on the same level as gow2 was. it has the same potential that gow2 had wen it rocked the world. this does not mean that it has anything to do with gow2. it could be an entirely different game!

at least its from a reliable source. geoff is a pretty good journalist. i was also wondering if its a MS announcement. it may be Sony or Nintendo he didnt specify. im assuming its MS or he wouldnt have made the Gears of War 2 comparison. i guess we,ll find out in a few hours. cant wait.
