Get Off Cliff Bleszinski's Back

Cliff Bleszinski is one of the biggest talents in the North American video game industry. He has made the best new IP of the generation, thats a rare thing to see in this generation which seems to be sequel after sequel. He's made two games in two years that have gotten universal AAA ratings and he is a huge talent. He has something many people don't have, he knows what people want in their games and he never lies about his games unlike that Molynator.

What is with all the Dude Huge hate though, why do Cows and Sheep like to pick on him for being outspoken? Kojima is an amazing video game maker but he's also one of the biggest trolls of all time (I love him for that though). There are way more people to pick on, Cliffy B hasn't done anything but say his opinions why do you care. They make sense most of the time anyways. He asks questions normal people have, he's not an elitest gamer, he's a regular guy who likes his chainsaws, guns, and gore. What's wrong with that, as long as he makes the games.

Get off his back, he's done nothing wrong. He's a great developer and he's more successful then most will ever become in the gaming industry. Cliff to the 360 is like what Kojima is to the PS3 or Miyamoto is to the Wii. As far as this generation goes he runs the system. It's unnecessary to just flame Cliff and make a 20 page thread when he says something harmless like, "Mirrors Edge looks awesome but where is the gun play? I'd like to see more of it".

Cliff Bleszinski is a million dollar "idiot". He knows about gaming and is a gamer himself hence his success. People are just pissed he says it like it is when it comes to the gaming industry.

It did not.

But it had the best graphic, very good physics and an average storyline.

gears did not redefine gaming either, its a good game, but over-hyped to death.

Then again, thats just my opinion, I dont like playing against people online so I dont understand what's all the fuss about it.

No not really. Yeah Cliffy mystically put a spell on his games so people "have to" buy them?.... He made a good shooter period. And I read the article you posted in the other thread. And I don't blame them for doing that because if you rent a game they do lose money. 20 bucks isn't that much. It cost more to keep your rig up to play Crysis. So how is that milking money when it's due to them in the first place? They could have made it the full price of the game. And plus nothing is final yet....

Geras 2 is a fine achievement..its got wonderful online and a good compaign.

There is a common mistake on the internet, particularly on these forums, that "my opinion is my opnion so it cant be wrong." Thus, people believe they have the right and ability to factually declare that something sucks, is garbage, mediocre or whatever they feel regardless of common logic displayed through game of the year awards, review scores, fan acclaim and sales.

Gears of War is clearly not a "mediocre at best" game, regardless of how much you wish it was.

The thing is...I don't have to picture anything. I have Gears 2. It looks alot better than Gears 1, plays smoother. Of course the gameplay will be the same..why change something that is already perfect? Just add a few tweaks(Which they did..) and it's all good.

What do you expect from a sequel that's on the same system as the first? A whole new game? Get real...you wouldn't know what a great game is even if it was made by God himself.

This Mirrors Edge criticism is totally ridiculous. He's said dumb stuff in the past, but I'm willing to excuse it and take it totally in good fun. I can be a jerk too.

in that interview, he also said that he thought mirror's edge was going to be great. i do find it funny that the GS review says on the summary that "combat and gunplay are weak." i by no means trying to be best buds with Cliffy B., but i do think he's a great dev, and if i were making a game, i would definitely take his comments into consideration.
