"Off the top of my head features added since E3 include: anti-aliasing on the CPU – looks much better then the 2x at E3; motion-blur that works for the camera, object and inner object; lens flare/god ray tech; reflection and refraction; improved character lighting; and improved texture streaming – the E3 demo was problematic and had blurry textures due to streaming not texture authoring. That has been fixed." http://www.playstationuniversity.com/improvements-to-gowiii-since-demo-explained-2774/ 4x AA (At least) + HDR + Object Based Motion Blur at 30-60 FPS (forgot the exact number or average. I heard it would be around 60 fps most of the time, but I may be wrong). Lots of work offloaded to Cell. That's what you get when it's properly utilized. More than makes up for the shortcomings of RSX.

Are you kidding or are you being serious? 4x AA is already good, considering everything else that's going down in GOW 3. But 8x AA? Regardless, haters and Cell deniers have just been owned. Cell wins. :)

Very impressive the 4x AA... even if it is 720.

Thats good to know. The demo looked pretty bad compared to games like Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2...Heck I'd even say Heavy Rain if it weren't for all its graphical glitches. Speakin of that, anyone else notice the bug in the GOW 3 demo when Kratos smashed the guys head against the wall...right before you ride the cyclops, and right after you shoot down helios?

Boy, if a game doesn't measure up in certain technical aspects, people jump all over it.

I do think the way old E3 2009 GOW 3 demo that folks are playing now looked pretty good, but I knew it was old.

I don't know if GOW will be able to dethrone Killzone 2 or Uncharted 2 for Console Graphics Kings, but I'm looking forward to playing it nonetheless.:P

He said they're doing it on the CPU, which means it's none of those. It would instead have to be some sort of morphological/analytical AA that detects triangle edges and attempts to blur them in a smart way. It does a great job of removing jaggies from still shots, but unfortunately in motion it doesn't really remove the "crawling edges" artifact.

Yeah it definitely wouldn't be equivalent to 4xMSAA. If you looked at stills the edges would probably look cleaner than 4xMSAA, but like I said in motion you're still going to see artificacts that you wouldn't with MSAA.

some of these people walk outside and complain that there aren't high enough polygon counts on the blades of grass in their yard and that the lighting is all wrong, they can tell by the way the shadows move....

Along comes a PS3 game that boasts 4xAA (which, undeniably, is more than welcome at resolutions of 720p and less), and suddenly it makes all the difference in the world. :)

Anyway, I feel like I'm in cow territory right now, so I should probably lay low and say that God of War 3 will be one hell of a game. Because it will.

It looks good because developers took their time and specific care in making the the game look good. And because of the PS3's unrivaled console power, they were able to do it.

I didn't even bring up graphics king or anything about how good the graphics of GOW3 are. I just said no matter how good the anti-aliasing on the PC is, they will still never be able to play the amazing game that is God of War 3.

XBOX 360 GPU has a few extra features than the RSX, Xenos is slightly better. However, the PS3 has the CELL PROCESSOR which can graphics process and graphics render by itself, making it SIGNIFICANTLY more powerful than the Xenos. See the difference between slightly and significantly? In a rudamentary kind of explaination, the PS3 has nearly 2 GPU's....of course PS3 is more powerful

When the XBOX 360 delivers a game that is the pinnacle of console graphics technology, like it did back in 2006, that the PS3 keep on producing over and over and over, let me know.

As of now, there's no leg to be stood upon regarding XBOX 360.

that's not even covering the BluRay or Harddrive in every PS3, which obviously furthers the gap.
