God of War 3 remains the best selling HD exclusive in first half of 2010!

Thoguht should be intresting to all you SW fighters ;)...NPD ( USA only ) released the numbers for the top 10 best selling games in the first half of 2010 showing God of War 3 taking 4th spot after 2 wii games and RDR on 360 making Gd of War 3 the best selling HD exclusive for the first half of 2010 outselling games like final Fantasy XIII ( both platforms in individual), outselling Mass Effect 2 on 360 and spilnter Cell on 360. the chart also states that not a single 360 exclusive made it to the top 10. GoW3 broke the 1.5 million mark in US alone ( to be reaching the 4 million worldwide )

Totally, i was a bit worried about GoW3 since it released with FFXIII same month so good job Santa Monica on this amazing game( took me over a month to plat the game! )..but FFXIII for some reason didnt chart at all. the PS3 version made it to the top 20 while 360 version didnt.

So they put exclusive so they can ignore RDR beating it, then put HD so they can ignore NSMB beating it. LOL

I just noticed this part. How does it matter?

Only onePS3 exclusive made it to the top 10, so it's not a significant difference in any way.

The only thing that chart proves is that most big games this year are multiplat.

HD Exclusive? Really? Regardless, good sales, I found the game a bit disappointing but still enjoyed it.

Gutted Mass effect 2 didn't make the top ten, deserved it.

Awesome games, I wish they put more new ideas in the next GOW.

are the ones laughing at this thread for putting HD in order to take out the Wii, the same ones that agree in not including PC when comparing exclusives between systems (consoles) in order to make 360 look on par with PS3 & Wii????

Back on topic:- GOW3 showed that good exclusives sell well on PS3 too :)

nobody tracks PC sales

it's left up to the publishers themselves, currently Valve is the biggest tracker namely because of Steam, but they don't release their numbers to anybody

the games are all great titles, no doubts about that.. however there isnt 1 exclusive ONLY ON 360 title...
