no its not... Heavy rain had good sales.. Modnation racers probably will have good legs like LBP... MAG not sure how it did... Dont forget with the exception of GOW the other were all new IP's so its normal that hype surrounding a sequel to an established franchise end up in pushing more sales..

in a way that should end the myth PS3 'exclusives' games dont sell.. GOW3 was hyped and its sold/selling well... i've been in these boards for like 3 yrs and the same old bs is posted that 360 exclusives sell while PS3 ones dont.. but with the exception of Halo & Gears (maybe Forza) there arent other games which reached/exceeded the 4 million mark in sales..

So again its relevant because, the only next exclusives that will have great sales will be Reach & again Geow3 confirming my above statement... as for PS3 along GT5 maybe it will be KZ3 to have good-great sales..

nobody is trying to ignore mario, yes its the overall best selling game but when comparing ps3 and 360 games, GoW3 wins. really no one is trying to ignore mario games again

hmm...bought it used, beat it in a day or so, sold it.

it was an 8.5 game but it had quite a bit of useless violence, the vistas weren't nearly as grand in past games with the majority of stuff being just big monster battles, and the ending was completely disapointing it really fell apart towards the end it wasn't fullfilling for me like the first 2 games.

Yep and the PS3 is the best selling console that has blu-ray built in.

That actually made me laugh a bit.

Though is great how much the game has sold in only 4 months

God of War 3 was a great looking game but it wasn't as good as God of War 2, not even close, I was rather disappointed how short it was and I really didn't like the boss fights that much with the exception of maybe Helios getting his head ripped off, Hercules getting his face pumbled, and when Hermes got his legs cut off, but these boss battles were nowhere as satisfying as the boss battles of God of War 2, but I would have been able to look past all that if the game would have broken that up with more intense action in between, the second game threw overwhelming amounts of bad guys at you all the time, in this game they were just an unchallenging filler between key events. I probably would have liked this more if David Jaffe would have stuck around to finish it, I'm disappointed he didn't. And for some reason this game has serious sound engineering problems, I'm playing this on optical with surround sound, and you don't hear the sounds you should of the sound effects such as Kratos hitting things, slamming things, it's all so quiet, but the music is real loud, I've tried doing everything with the audio options to no success; however, the demo didn't sound like this at all, I've no idea why but it was better. This year I've been more impress by Bayonetta and Dante's Inferno, I find the combat much more challenging and intense, and much more satisfying to play. I admit God of War 3 looks great, it's just they didn't put the same effort into making the game any better.lamprey263

Pointing out the best selling game of each genre is common practice.

Pointing out it is on a single platform is understandable (since comparing games on multiple systems versus games on a single one is usually unfair).

Being specific about Halo 3 serves the purpose of rising the question "how much would it have sold if it were on multiple systems". It helps keeping things in perspective.

Pointing out resolution is neither common practice nor serves any purpose.

It's like saying "Pop is the best selling cell-shaded game". Pointless.
