Its those PSVita/PSP games that lower the average in most Playstation franchises. which in my opinion is just grasping at staws if you want to include them. Im not just talking about GoW but most Playstation franchises in general.

So it turns out that Halo isnt a AAA franchise either going by averages, I added up every single Halo release and the average is 88.875 and If you include the PC versions then the average is 86.6

I'm not sure nobody and sell work together considering it takes a lot of somebodies to sell a lot of product...but I get what you mean if sports isn't your thing (it's roughly 50% of the gaming market though).

Still, it's not about genre or popularity as I said, it's about sales and GT is up there with Halo, Street Fighter, Mario, etc in terms of titanic sales. I don't even care about sales, but a juggernaut in sales like GT was omitted and I corrected that oversight.

average series anyway, only played the first (playing it at the mo) and the 3rd. GOW3 being the first i played and at first enjoyed it first level is amazing,but the novelty wore off very quickly. Now playing through the 1st and TBH am bored of it.thedork_knight

God of War 2 = 93

God of War 3 = 92

Chains of Olympus = 91

Ghost of Sparta = 86

Ascensions = 79

Franchise average = 89.16

Before someone mentions counting the PSP installments, This is counting all of the cannon God of War games, since they all belong to the same arch. Even removing Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta, the average is STILL 89.5.

All scores are from the platform the game originally released on, and not counting any of the collections, re-releases, etc....(if we did, that would bring the average down further :) ) .

God of War is no longer an AAA franchise anymore. Better luck next gen :(

I have no doubt that I will still enjoy GoW:A despite what some critics are saying. But apparently the reason for the lower score is because It diddnt bring anything new to the series (apart from multiplayer), and reviewers were even giving low scores because Kratos stomps a womans face in the game and because a certain part in the game is to dificult lol.

However most critics still praised the core gameplay and combat saying its still just as good as ever which is pretty much all I care about, as long as the gameplay and cinimatics are still good then im happy.

You need help.Lemming dying for some great games to play this year. its funny how you picked the average scored 89.16 instead of  89.5 because it closer to 90.. i think you need to  stop complaining and putting down Sony exclusive games and actually ENJOY loving all these great games.. When the next God of War games comes out  for the PS4 and get  average 90 and up across the board  i expect you to change the thread title and your post ..
