So MLG, my god......

Only watched half of the video so I can't say for sure, but it looks like this might need a spoiler tag. The video could ruin the game for anyone who hasn't played it.
I watched the video, does this mean I beat the game too?
Trail_Mix
It sure does!
Be glad you didn't pay full price.

It does say Speed Run in the title.
[QUOTE="Pariah_001"]And IGN a 9.5 also,Giantbomb a 5/5,Polygon 10/10,EDGE a 9,among many others,it´s an amazing experience.Petit gave this a 9.5....
MrYaotubo
Debatable.

It´s debatable for any game in existence.I'll just say not at one moment during my 1 hour and 30 minute playthrough *I took my time* did I feel like I was experiencing something amazing or even great. Obviously anything can be boiled down to opinion but I wouldn't even say the story was deep. Anyone who could potentialy think that and tell me straight to my face would give me the impression they have never picked up a book in their lives.
SO YEA ANYWAY THESE ARE SOME PRETTY BIG SPOILERS THANKS.
I've already beaten the game but man you gotta label that better.Vaasman
Speed Run wasn't a big enough hint?
"Speed run" implies the game is recorded from beginning to end, with all relevant plot elements on full display.SO YEA ANYWAY THESE ARE SOME PRETTY BIG SPOILERS THANKS.

Uh no.Do you even know what a Speed Run is?
Too Dear Esther like for me to want to go to that for my indie fix. Steam bargain bin is the only way I'd try it. jg4xchamp
If you disliked dear esther even a bit, Yeah stay far far away.
I really got bummed when I found out Machine for pigs is being made entirely by chinese room, my hype got pretty much killed off. I thought they were just going to offer Frictional support.
Uh no.[QUOTE="Vaasman"]

Yes. And do you know what a spoiler is? Speed run or not, you've given away the ending in the first 30 second of the video, and didn't label it. Just sayin, if I wanted to play and I saw no spoiler tags but was interested in info, I might come see this not knowing what to expect and be pissed.[QUOTE="jg4xchamp"]Too Dear Esther like for me to want to go to that for my indie fix. Yeah I was under the impression they were only doing narrative stuff. The fact that they are doing the game is a buzzkill. Admittedly the original Amnesia's level design wasn't always very good, as it telegraphs itself way too hard. But it was a pretty legit horror experience. I was hoping for that game, but with better realized level design. Don't think I'm getting that.[QUOTE="ReadingRainbow4"]

Actually it is.Edit: Let me make this more clear. A speed run does not mean any kind of reveal of plot or reasonable gameplay experiences. See speedruns of any myriad of story based games like MGS4 for evidence of that. Or see a speedrun of Dark Souls which skips 80% of the content and all of the story. With this, you've literally blown the biggest plot point of this exploration based game with no labeling. I don't think it would kill you to mention this is a spoiler in the OP.
And IGN a 9.5 also,Giantbomb a 5/5,Polygon 10/10,EDGE a 9,among many others.MrYaotubo
We're on GS. One evil at a time.
Quite frankly, all that tells me is that Petit felt safe giving it that score.
it´s an amazing experience.MrYaotubo
As a game? Not even remotely.
It's a sociopoltical statement. And it should be graded as such.
Suckering people into buying your favored propoganda through good reviews is stupid.

There's one extra click required for the full story, it's all good man.
Why would I want to watch a speed run to a game I haven't played yet? *Walks away from boring thread*AmazonTreeBoa
It's so cool and edgy when you describe your actions through text. :)

You're practically at the tip of a sheer glacial cliff overlooking the endless arctic ocean. That's how cool and edgy you've become.A speed run does not mean any kind of reveal of plot or reasonable gameplay experiences.VaasmanUh... in most games you can't skip most of the story stuff in order to beat it. Super Metroid being a shining example.

Dark Descents level design isn't it's problem. It's that it has 1 type of scare and that wears thin when you learn the pattern of it which is just before halfway through the game. Then the rest is spent running away from monsters in annoyance rather than fear
Also what the fvck were people expecting Gone Home to be? So many people ragging on it saying it's a let down, what were you expecting?

First off Speed run does indeed scream spoilers as a speed run is an entire playthrough of a game as fast as possible
also they still have to WATCH the video to actually be spoiled and it takes a little bit into said video to come across anything worth considering a spoiler

I was expecting nancy drew meets the exorcist.
instead I got nancy drew meets The L word.

Super Metroid being a shining example. In most games, however, you can. Additionally, other speedran games do not reveal any kind of significant plot 30 second into the video, so even if you intend to play those games, you can still get a decent feel for the game by watching the early parts of speedruns.
Is it really that much of a thing that I think it should be labeled with a spoiler? Jesus.

Seriously though. The Steam description says it's just about exploring a house and that's it. No puzzles or combat or anything of the sort. They literally tell you it's about picking things up and walking through a house
If you expect anything more than that you were obviously gonna be let down
