Why?

The game's ending can be found and revealed in about 30 seconds. People who have not played yet would not know that, a lot of information online indicates the game will take you about 2 hours, which it will normally. I know I've watched a lot of speedruns to get a decent impression of what to expect from early gameplay and environments, but not watched all the way through to avoid any important spoilers. Can't really do that with this.

All I'm really trying to say is don't watch this if you're interested in playing.

Not answering my question. Why would you be pissed from spoilers?

What like generally speaking? I'm not really sure why I have to answer that, it seems pretty obvious. If you were interested in experiencing a story yourself, wouldn't you be upset? The burden of knowledge can negatively affect your experience.

I'm not really saying the story in this game is great or anything, but I wouldn't want to have it given away either.

Well that wasn't actually what I was saying, but I don't necessarily disagree either.

If you enjoy exploring and reading every item and note, you could probably get another playthrough out of it to make it last an extra hour. But yes, once you've seen everything, there isn't much incentive to come back to this.

So how did you feel once it was made clear the game was largely a love story?

I personaly was really disappointed.

It wasn't the fact that it was a love story, so much as it wasn't a compelling love story.

Yeah, I can understand that.

It was basically "They Don't understand my Feels!" it came off as heavily pretentious towards the end for me.

I was hoping that there would have been an easter egg that showed your sister got pushed off the road and plumetted into a ravine or something due to the storm after you read that diary to make the story a little more interesting. I feel it would have been a great follow up to the Tear filled phone call from lonny on the answering machine.

Actually easter eggs in general would help this game tremendously, especially with replay value.

Your sister was in lesbians with her best friend lonny, the entire game is spent explaining this to you, They also happened to bond over Ghost Hunting in the house as your Dads uncle Oscar left him it in his inheritance. There's a far more interesting subplot within the story that is hardly explained aside from a note in the basement that your Father was molested as a child by oscar, he felt so bad about touching little boys that he became a shut in and a drug addict.
Happy Vassman?

ReadingRainbow4

and does any of that have anything to do with the house being empty?
Your mom cheated on Terry (Your dad), they go to a couples resort. Sam Left home to be with her lover, that's what the last note in the attic explains.
so the whole thing is basically "no one gives a f*ck about the main character and can't even be assed to welcome her home after being away for year(s)"

Too Dear Esther like for me to want to go to that for my indie fix. Steam bargain bin is the only way I'd try it. jg4xchamp

Not really, your character comes home on very short notice.
