Got back from playing Brawl and Galaxy on a 73inch Mistubishi 1080p god tv

It's touching to know that when this generation is over and the 360 is a distant third place Lemmings will be able to look back fondly on their short lived time in second place. A position that they only obtained because their faulty hardware was launched a year early

Brawl is a good game but it's just stupid fun. You get a bunch of friends over and have some beer and then it's a lot of fun but other than that it's good not great not deserved of all the hype. SMG is a clone of RAtchet Clank essentially. That makes it a very good game but not original and it lacks the humour of a Ratchet Clank game. But I do agreeing complaining about graphics is stupid as they are secondary to gameplay.whackedjob213

What an idiot. IDK about brawl, but SMG is easily in the top 5 if not top 3 for graphics this generation. And thats out of all consoles and PC.

That's funny... Because I play on my superiour 40" Sony Bravia XBR4 TV just fine. You must have not had component cables, or are just really really really annoyingly picky.

I just find them both tremendously overrated and dated. Having Mario run around upside down in strange gravity waving a pointer around to collect items you throw at stars. I'd rather eat poison sumac.

As for Brawl I never liked Melee so I wasn't expecting much but when I can't even get the character to jump consistently when I press up on the stick I find that to be BROKEN. The graphics looked really washed out. Not good at all.

Never played either game and really don't care if I ever do. However, I know the Wii is not a high def console, so it will look even worse on an HDTV. And the tv you had it on is about the single worst HDTV on the market. You mentioned that the graphics were washed out? That statement makes no sense, I am assuming you mean the colors were washed out, and they would be on that tv, as its performance is piss poor in the HD arena.

Try playing the Wii on a SDTV, it should look significantly better, and play nothing on that mits-A-shi%y tv. They are the worst rear projections around. Color pallete is very limited, contrast is abysmal, screen uniformity is joke, primary colors are no where near accurate, well you get the picture.

The star cursor thing with SMG is incredibly annoying and a terrible gameplay gimmick. I can't believe this was hailed as a great game.

Brawl seems to be a lot like Melee. Bunch of junk dropping all over the place and lame attacks.

After playing each for about 3 minutes I give them both a 5 out of 10.

It's kind of sick and sad how highly these garbage games are reviewed. It just shows you how much nostalgia driven hype fuels Nintendo reviews.

If this is the best Wii has to offer I guess I will have to live without NMH even though I am a big fan of Suda San.

First off. It's not my TV it's my brother's and he lives an hour away I went down there for Easter. He has it hooked up with component video cables.

Second off: It's an awesome TV with an incredible picture. It's an HDMI 1.3 compliant display. Don't hate on it because you are too poor to afford it and it sure as hell stomps a Bravia LCD.

Third off: To me SMG shows Nintendo is completely out of ideas. It's like...let's take everything about SM64 and SMS then make it more annoying. You can't control the camera (all I could do was center it behind me) and despite running under and over doing big moon like jumps it hasn't changed much.

Fourth off: 5 out of 10 isn't horrible it's just squarely average. Brawl from what I could see was Melee with bad controls. Sure I guess I could have brought my Gamecube controller down to play with but what's the point in designing a new game for a new system that sells itself on it's new controls and then implement them terribly?

Did it look something similar to this? FYI I know the Wii isn't hooked up to this t.v., but when I took the pic, the Wii wasn't there at the time. Anyways, if I were to connect my Wii to this, the t.v. just puts the whole signal in 480p and fills the screen. Same with Xbox 360 when it plays movies.
