I'm sorry but I am not at all impressed by this trailer. It had a sort of generic action trailer flair that we've all seen dozens of times before. It looks way to similar to cod 4 to warrant a purchase from me. I am declaring this game COD 4.5

P.S. any talk of this being GOTY is insane

I'm sorry but I am not at all impressed by this trailer. It had a sort of generic action trailer flair that we've all seen dozens of times before. It looks way to similar to cod 4 to warrant a purchase from me. I am declaring this game COD 4.5

Nothing in that trailer looked similar to COD4. Completely new vistas, clear focus on telling a great story, and it just looked more cinematic in general.

Nothing in that trailer looked similar to COD4. Completely new vistas, clear focus on telling a great story, and it just looked more cinematic in general.

It looks exactly similar to COD4, in fact it is a direct sequel to COD4 (in terms of story, gameplay, etc). All they did was change the setting, throw in some new bad guys and guns and slapped MW2 as the title. The story in the last game was cliche and I am betting that this one will be too.

What did you want from a sequel, Call of Duty: The RPG?

Aren't all sequels like that. You don't even know what's in the game yet...

I want a sequel that adds some new element to the previous game that makes if feel different from the previous. COD6 adds only new skins, guns, maps, and I guess vehicles to the game but what other than that is being changed? The game is going to play the same as its precursor.

Can't say that I really care. Probably because I'm confining my FPS purchases to just two franchises.

There's just too many to bother splurging on whatever new pretty face comes along.

I'm sorry but I look for more than just reskined guys and new guns. Thats basically what MW2 will be like. If I want a familiar expirence to COD4, I'll go play COD4.

Looks like they've improved the campaign scenario. I love the fact that they dropped the Call of Duty title too. Modern Warfare deserves to be a stand-alone franchise.

COD4 is my favourite game this gen but Modern warfare 2 looks like crap. It's like every bad Sly /Van Damn/Arnie movie ever made all mashed up together with a bit of The Rock thrown in for good measure. Totally lame and the graphics suck. Looks like Modern warfare was a fluke, now we are back to lame sequels to good games.

Looks like a b grade action flick from 1985

The graphics barely look better then COD4, this will be an awesome game no doubt but the people who said COD5 was COD4 with new coat of paint, same can be said for this.

So much extreme emotions (love and hate) on such a small amount of footage. Next to nothing is known on the game, however IW has actually managed to deliver consistently with three very good games. Saying its going to be bad or somehow massively fail is just unfounded at this point....

If its anything like CoD4 gameplay wise, than I wholeheartedly disagree.. That game used mechanics that I havn't seen in FPS's sense before Half-Life.. Seriously endlessly respawning enemies? A completely static environment where you can't even knock over a barrel? To this day this game has to be one of the most linear FPS's I have ever seen.. No this is not comparing it to Crysis, this is comparing it to other linear games like FEAR, and HL2.. Both linear though they at least felt like you had some kind of control involved.. CoD4 has none such thing.

possibly. ill hope for the best and probably day one buy it. Hopefully it is lightyears ahead of cod4's campaign. But i wouldnt call the cod4 campaign quality for the fact that infinitely respawning enemies means 0 replay value. Iheir ai is nothing but spawn move to predetermined spot and open fire.
