GoW 2.5

yup I'm afraid so...after playing the GOW collection in HD and playin the GOW 3 demo there is not a huge jump between 2 & 3...it's a shame and maybe they will polish it up before release....oh and this is my first time playin the GOW series cuz I was a xbox only owner last gen and they are great games

What are you comparing, the Demo, which was from E3? Jeez.

I'm going to wait and see, but I'm sure it's going to be a fun, EPIC scoring game like GOW1&2. Sorry to hear you missed out on the majority of amazing games last gen though.

Well don't get your hopes up, I played the actual game and it's a complete rehash.

To be fair though thats a really old build you were playing... I have complete faith that GoW3 will deliver...

If you want to nitpick GTA 4= GTA San Andreas in HD, MGS 4= MGS 3 in HD, Halo 3=Halo 2 in HD, RE5=RE4 in HD, and so on and forth.

NEVER Judge any game by DEMO's or VIDEO's, I've been saying that in SW for years. YEARS.

I remember playing the RED FACTION 1 Demo for PC, and the Framerate was TERRIBLE, choppy, and awful. The actual game looked and played SO MUCH Better, and that was back in 2001ish.

Don't judge by DEMO's of unfinished games, let that be this THREAD's Lesson.

I wouldnt base the whole quality on the demo. That being said, I have no idea why cows are hyping this AAAA. It doesnt look that ground breaking.

Yeah because companies always have all the final versions of a games graphics and phyics done its early builds and never at any point over the games production improve on it :roll:. Seriously I remember people saying MGS4's graphics looks like crap and that its basically just a HD MGS3. Well they were very wrong, just like you will be TC when GOW 3 releases and its graphics aren't crap at all, I'm not saying it will be the best on the system, but it will be one of the best for sure and also look nothing like the demo's graphics.

You do know the GOWIII demo is a pre E3 build? They have/had nearly a year to work on it sense then.micky4889

If that is what a 2.5 looks like then so be it. :D

If it is about the gameplay, why would they radically change it? God of War is a brutal hack and slash game and that is the way the fans like it. There is no point in turning it into a hack and slash game with stealth elements.

The final game will look better than the demo, which already looks way better than the Collection.

If the full game plays as well as the demo and the graphics are touched up a tiny bit (they already look pretty good from the demo) I'll be extremely happy.

the GOW3 demo looked great. not quite as good looking as KZ2 or U2, but theyre far above average. and if you honestly think that there's not much of an improvement since GOW2, youre eyes are broken. get new ones... unless you were comparing GOW3's in game graphics with GOW2's cutscenes.. in which case, youre eyes are fine, but you need a new brain.

I'm guessing it'll probably be better by the time it is released. ;)

That being said, demos are meant to be representations of the full product. We can't just dismiss a demo, for that very reason. In some cases, the demo does more harm than good (re: Dead Space :? ).

People will get excited by demos, and people will be disappointed by demos. No matter how you slice it, it's still a representation of the final product.
