First and foremost I think ALL cars/tracks need to be updated that were given the "HD remake" treatment. After that, the car-on-car physics could use some work. THEN, once the basic visuals/gameplay tweeks are fixed, the minor technical issues should be addressed.

I don't think it is unreasonable to think that the car models are being updated as we speak. Wasn't it said that the "premium" models were good enough to likely even be used for the next gen of consoles? There's no way that they could get away with using the standard models for next gen, so I would not be surprised--with the ps4 likely 2 years away--that a GT5: Gold edition(of sorts) be released with some of these upgrades w/dlc free to GT5 regular edition.

that is great but not really worth making a hype thread for and like others said this should have been included in the game from the start. The game was in development for along time.

If you and Wingman actually followed Forza games you'd realise T10 will not compromise the FPS. The FPS was compromised in GT5 with these weather conditions and the same would come true in Forza 4. It's all very well sitting on your PC and demanding these features but if it's going to affect the FPS then T10 aren't go to bother are they?

If you and Wingman actually followed Forza games you'd realise T10 will not compromise the FPS. The FPS was compromised in GT5 with these weather conditions and the same would come true in Forza 4. It's all very well sitting on your PC and demanding these features but if it's going to affect the FPS then T10 aren't go to bother are they?

I play videogames for fun. I do prefer a smooth playing game, which GT5 is, but weather driving is fun regardless. The slowdown occurs in certain areas. I've played rain races with zero slowdown. The performance doesn't get in the way of having fun. I can go back as far as the NES generation of games and bring up countless examples where mild performance hits were exchanged for things the developers thought the gamers would find fun.

Interesting little update. I'll be sure to sign on and download it when it releases but seeing as it releases the same day as Forza 4 (intentional timing or intentional timing?) I don't know when I'll get around to actually trying it.

Well that is rather unfortunate. GT5 runs just find the majority of the time, and I can have a blast racing in the weather as well. Goldeneye on the N64 ran better in 2 player splitscreen, but boy was 4 player splitscreen much more fun even with the performance hit.

Difference, Turn 10 never promised any of those things for Forza 4. They stayed committed to their vision of what the Forza series should and will offer and they've yet to come up short. Why? Because they stress consistency across the game. You don't see slowdown or screen tearing in Forza because they have tuned its performance to eliminate such issues. You don't see 80% of the cars in the game not having fully modeled interiors in Forza. You don't see a massive visual disparity between standard and premium cars because this distinction doesn't exist in Forza. Every car is "premium". If you want weather effects and rally racing, sorry, you're not going to get it from Forza, at least not yet.Turn 10 won't compromise their game to deliver half-assed features for the sake of an additional bullet point on the back of the box. If you want the most consistent, realistic and beautiful racing sim of this generation, Forza 4 is your game. No other racer (except Forza 3) comes close.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Forza games runs as smooth as silk. They never dip below 60FPS and run great even when you crash into multiple cars at once. What turn 10 have done with this game and kept that 60FPS IMO is fantastic. T10 did add alternate time of day which means certain tracks will look different.

It's funny because of how I predicted both Flopza 4 and Inflopamous 2 since last December.:P I'm just enjoying my time as I pulled 2 of the best score predictions of this year.:lol: I failed with with the Deus Ex Human Revolution score though.:(

I got so far in FM2 ... I plan on going back and finishing up the endurance races which are pain in the ass. As for FM3 I'm sure I'll be able to get 100% pretty easy, I was already about to start Year 6 before as you know my financial struggles.

But now that I got money from wall to wall Imma get both in Decemeber :D

Oh look Kozzy hasn't even touched FM2 :o ... Gosh I think it's quite apparent I'm a raging GT5 fanboy or wait I only got about 20% trophies in GT5 before I put it aside :?

To be fair, the first Forza was released for the original Xbox and the majority of displays at the time were SD interlaced displays, so 30 FPS would be appropriate.
