I have a funnier question: What does GT5 bring that Forza 3 wont have? :DaaronmullanWell, more cars to use. More cars in a race.

With Polyphonic not giving us any kind of bone to chew on...nothing at the moment.
I can pretty much garantee that there won't be car customization/paint design.

Where these are good points, is anyone outside the US going to care about nascar? Or rally? This is suposed to be 'the ultimate racing simulator', I'll take DIRT/DIRT2 if I want rally.

I wouldnt be to sure, there are rumors that GT5 will feature car customization with real car parts. We really dont know much about GT5 to say anything about the features it will have.[QUOTE="DAZZER7"]

With how much content there has been in previous Forza games, it might have it aswell. GT has done rally before but not properly, it was a half baked attempt, sorry guys but it was.

That's just it. It has rally and nascar no need to buy three games if you're a race fan.Thats my point, Who outside the US is going to care? IMO the Nascar and Rally inclusions are just a gimmick to boost sales. If they really wanted to they could have save all that time and space and work on something GT fans have been crying out for, like full collision damage or actual believable engine sounds.
Where I'm a Forza fan, I'm not hiding the fact that I love GT just as much, it just ticks me off that they add in 2 features that we'll probably only use twice and leave out something that's been needed since the first one.
GT5 will feature 1 thing that Forza cant have, F1 racing. Sony owns the rights to the F1 series. Nonstop-Madness
That is amazing news to me. I didn't know that.
I can't wait to play Forza 3 either. It will more than tide me over until GT5 gets released.

Didn't Codemasters buy the rights, they're bringing out a new F1 sim next year.

better graphics, more cars on track, nascar, wrc, f1, weather changes, g25 wheel support
There's so much wrong with this. Graphics are on par with Forza, same amount of cars on track, NO F1 apart from the Ferrari F1 car, I'm yet to see evidence about the weather, but who's to say that Forza won't have it - considering PGR4 done it superbly and Forza supports the best wheel suport out there. See how I just dwindled down that list.
the thing about GT5 is, when you start up the game, you will have a variety of different races to choose from. should i play nascar? or wait maybe custom cars? no first ill do a Rally. but after some F1 racing.stylesPS3How do you know that's how it is when you start up the game?

- Ok...maybe not confirmed 16 cars on track but not confirmed 8 either. I would rather have 8 realistic opponents than 16 dumb railtrack ones.
- You can look at all the scans and shots all you want, doesn't change the fact that Forza and GT are going to be battling for who owns in the graphics department.

I agree....but I also disagree..
Sony lost the license because they did nothing with it..,,In addition if they (the License holder) made a solid game and pushed the genre forward..Good for them and they should keep it.
But if you pull a Sony..Do nothing with it..and in essence keep other developers from making an F1 game..Then thats horrible for the fans and counterproductive for the genre..
I hope Codies dont follow the same path Sony did

They have the Wii and PSP versions coming out this year (from what I've seen they look good) and 360/PS3 next year. That's if they don't break away, and they better have Silverstone as an unlockable track if it's taking off the calender.
I haven't played Forza but I have seen various gameplay demo's including E3's Forza 3 live demo. I've played Gran Turismo 3, 4 and prologue. Based on what I've seen from the E3 trailer for GT5 I have to say that it beats what I've seen from Forza. There's even a hint of damage finally coming to gt5 which is what many people believe is a fatal flaw of previous GT games. Sadly most of the cool features of GT5 are complete speculation, and forza already has a 1up on proven experience.
Here's my predictions:
GT5 will have a ton more cars, but forza will have a better variety.
GT5 will have more racing, tuning, and player options, but forza will have better damage, AI, customization, and online.
Forza will also sell more copies.
I'm probably going to buy both games anyway.
