Campaign complete! Time to finish up the side content.
What do you mean, how much single player content is there? I've never come close to finishing a Forza Motorsport game. Any of them.
But to be fair, I also spend a lot of time upgrading and testing my cars.
I wish the livery editor was easier to figure out. It's too complex, in my view. Moreover, it's hard to search for stuff that I want. It could've been more intuitive. I'm still not seeing rubber-band AI that Gamespot talked about in their review. I have had big crashes, but still remained in 1st place. Other times, I have crashed and got passed up by a few cars. So it's not like the AI is slowing down when I'm behind or whether they're passing me by immediately after I crash or hit a wall. I can get big leads without another car in sight, or even in the same time zone as me.
I wish GS was more accurate in their review, because it simply doesn't have rubber-band AI. You need not play the game for very long to realize that. Whatever, though; it's not worth getting upset over it. I just wish that GS had done a better job in their review.
It deserves at least a 9, in my opinion. 🎮

The campaign is 39 Menu Books, or 39 "chapters". One you complete those, you get the game credits. Beyond that, for single player, you can do the License Tests (I am on the last one), 6 Mission scenarios (such as cone challenges, etc) and 15 Circuit Experiences.
The campaign is substantially shorter than GT5/GT6, but it's still good. I think the are adding more "Menu Books" as DLC at some point. They held back 11 of the 50 menu books.
@HalcyonScarlet: Has the game even been out a week? I think somebody is fibbing.

Wow, Trial mountain cup I think it’s called looks gorgeous: Forests and tunnels.
The game seems long to me. The six mission scenarios have like 8 challenges in each, the 15 Circuit experiences have 2-4 things you can do. Then you can try for gold in everything or collect all the cars.
GT 7 looks quite a bit better than GT Sport to me. Maybe it’s because I had HDR on in Sport and my HDR broke just in time for 7, for me. I see a difference.
This game is so much better when you take the hud and all of the other visual aids off and add wobble in the cockpit view.
@Zero_epyon: I had no idea that adding wobble was an option. Thank you!
Youtube butchered my video but here's a clip from last night
There's another option too I forget what it's called. It positions the camera so you can align your wheel with it.

Can't get enough of those engine and shifting sounds. So choice.
I don’t think it’s quite the return to form we were hoping for. The $$$ micro transactions are also brutal, considering the default car availability. No more virtual in game economy to play with. A garage that isn’t so much a garage anymore. The rolling starts and cafe mode.
I dunno. I’m not feeling it yet.

Not being able to sell cars is definitely a point reduction for me. I don't like having a garage full of cars I don't use.
So yeah, if I couldn't care any less about the game, I'm now in negative fucks given.
@Zero_epyon: Well, if you could sell cars then you wouldn't have to spend real money on cars.
We can't have that
lol yeah I know. Makes it suck even more.
Yeah...the economy in this game is driven (heh...) by some really scummy game design, pushing players to pay real money for credits in order to finance purchases of the game's laundry list of cars or subject themselves to countless hours grinding certain races to earn the credits necessary for the game's more expensive and most attractive rides.
And now I'm seeing that there are exclusive upgrade parts available only through the game's roulette ticket system, which, outside of the few you'll get just by completing menu books in the cafe mode, can only be obtained like once per day and the odds are heavily weighted towards the lower end rewards.
It's really disappointing how far GT's economy has gone downhill, with each major release getting objectively worse and making the game a constant grind, especially when games like Forza pretty much shower you with cars and credits. Which approach you like most is still down to personal preference but I'd rather GT pursue some sort of middle ground between the two approaches but Polyphony Digital seems intent on making the economy regress toward the grind, all the while not-so-subtly nudging players to "top up" using real money on the Playstation Store.
I don't like it. It really cheapens the experience of a game I already paid $89 for.
