San andreas was on Xbox, PC and Ps2. It came out in the later years of the PS2. The install base was around 80 million units. More people had access to San Andreas.

I think it's a little silly to compare San Andreas and GTAIV. Didn't San Andreas release with the PS2 and Xbox's combined install base at around 120 million units?

What does GTAIV have to play with? Around 45?

It's nice to know the silent acceptance of most. If GTA: SA sold more because of the huge userbase it had, then I think it's safe to translate that to "GTAIV will never sell more than GTASA because PS2 will always be ahead of PS360 times 3".

So GTAIV is doomed to sell less, and many people in this thread admitted to it :)

Oh, and R* doesn't make $60 on every copy sold, more like $10, probably more, probably less.
