Nah it ain't worth owning, for me at least..not yet and sure as shit not at the current price. I won't pass judgement on your gaming taste for those of you who think it is. All I see is mainly a bunch of cartoony looking kids games that I have 0 interest in and Bayonetta 2. A bunch of cartoon graphic games to mask how underpowered the console really is compared to the competition. Even the new Zelda game looks like a cartoon, but it looks damn good though.

While i agree i am a rare case, it's not because i am not interested in gaming. It is true only owning a WiiU is a small percentage of the content available on the market, i honestly have no interest in the other consoles and what they have to offer. This is because as i have grown older, my tastes in gaming have become more refined and focused, and Nintendo content just happens to be what i enjoy the most.

@smashed_pinata: I'm no spring chicken either. We seem to be almost exact opposites perhaps. My interest in Nintendo content wained as I got older, and I was a pro Nintendo kid and even teenager. They no longer meet my needs in gaming, and those rehashed 20 + year old franchises are more exhausted than Melissa McCarthy after a minute on the treadmill.

A handful of exclusives, being spanned across one year, isn't gonna change that. That's what the WiiU is. A Nintendo machine, while the twins are capable of delivering on both first party and third party offerings.

This is the part that confuses me the most. There's never been more than one Mario Kart, Smash, Zelda (sans Twilight Princess) Main Mario, New Mario series on any given Nintedo console, and the Prime series has released 3 times since the GC and Nintendo is the one that creates rehashes?

True. But let's look at those games. Majora's Mask was probably the most innovate Zelda game to date. Mario 2 played nothing like the other two and three introduced the concept of suits in Mario games. I think those should get a pass. Lol

I disagree with the OP. I simply don't like nintendo's games anymore. I am sick of Mario Kart, Smash Bros and Mario. I don't like them. I don't like Pikmin, I don't like Donkey Kong. Zombie U LMAO. I have grown up. I don't like those kiddy games anymore. I prefer everything else. Give me Deus Ex, MGS, Mass effect, Fallout, Skyrim etc. No more cartoon games.

Nintendo Wii U is the worst console in my opinion and no matter what game reviewers say can change that. I hate game reviewers. They constantly overrate nintendo's games based on nostalgia. I never need to read ANY nintendo games reviews because I already know it will be an automatic 9.5+/10. I have to minus 2 points to every nintendo game to get the true score because every 30-40 year old game reviewer is obsessed with nintendo.

I think the best console to buy is no console at all. However, coming from the perspective of a PC gamer, the Wii U would be the one I chose if I were offered one of the three for free. It offers a more unique and diverse library that is a better compliment to the PC than either the PS4 or Xbox One do.

Although, if I didn't own any gaming platforms at all (no PC or anything) and I had to choose a console to go with, it would be the PS4. Way more games, it's more powerful, and PSN+ is a good subscription service for the money.

The Xbox One is just...no.

Who is insecure? I made this thread stating the FACT that right now at this very moment the WiiU is the best console to own based on its exclusive library. That is 100% true. There is nothing insecure about it nor is there even a hint of me trying to justify my purchase. Just because you and 90% of everyone else on here is too wrapped up in being a CoD dude bro or more worried about pixels than good gameplay and story, that is no reason to just dismiss the WiiU!

Really the best (non-handheld) combo you can have is PC with WiiU. The WiiU lacks when it comes to multiplats

Reading comprehension is fundamental. It clearly states graphical prowess aside. Unless you are incapable of understanding English, you should recognize that he means the Wii U is probably the least powerful and therefore has the smallest amount of graphical prowess.

Can we please stop this myth that "Nintendo has the best games". I am sick of hearing it. Sony has had the best first party games for the last 20 years and you are blind if you can't see that. I am sick of hearing "Nintendo games are more fun and have charm". Like LMAO. Just stop. If I wanted charm, I would buy some Lucky Charms cereal.

Sony creates NEW franchises EVERY gen in a variety of genres. Nintendo remakes the same old stuff. I can buy the exact same games on the N64 like I can on Wii U because they are the same thing. At least with Sony, I can experience new games.
