Graphics = gameplay? {56K}

personally im always looking to have the best graphics and most immersive game possible, i know in systemwars gameplay>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>graphics for most ppl, but BAH! im not one of them, graphics are essential to a games success and can allow the player to be immersed into the world therefore improving the gameplay. a game like crysis would be mediocre if it was dubbed down graphics, but when the you switch it on the max settings it becomes a whole different ballgame.

Graphics help out with the immersion factor, which is a good thing.

In the case of Crysis and Company of Heroes, having more system power behind you means you can turn up the physics, and since both those games support destructible environments, it does change gameplay, usually for the better.

Add great sound with awesome graphics and you just might forget that it is a game for a few seconds.

I played the demo but wasn't overly impressed. I will get it when the price is lower but not worth it for $40. Graphics are the last thing I look at, they are ok but I play a game to play it and not look at it. If all I wanted was eyecandy I would go watch a movie.

No, Super Mario Brothers 3 was perhaps the most enthralling experience I've had in a video game aside from RTS's.

I liked it to..but I had to rethink the game description for me to like it....For a Sim it's garbage......but as an arcade racer it's fun...

Of course graphics matter.

But its the idiot fanboys that claim GOTY over some stupid screen shots of there stupid overhyped game, nobody wants to play pong but in dont want to see 356565 threads about "MGS4z is teh grapxiz KINGZ!!!!",

That being said every single game you listed will have fantastic gameplay...its just when fanboys claim ownage over some grainy bushes its get stupid..

It ran on high on my system just fine; I just wasn't overly impressed with the gameplay even though the nanosuit was a good touch. As far as the demo goes I use that as a major decision on buying a game; back in the day when we had shareware (lol I'm 17 and I sound old) you would get a good amount of the game and it was eaiser to make the decision of whether to buy it or not. Had the demo been longer I would have maybe changed my mind.
