Dude, every single 2d figher released since Street Fighter II is VERY similar to Street Fighter II.TMNT: Tournament fighters always struck me as very similar to Street Fighter II, but it was great.

... Wait.. How is Freespace series a rip off from Wing commander? In the fact they are both space sims that take place in space? People seem not to know what a "rip-off" really is.. Its a shameless copy in just about every way.. The vast majority of things mentioned here is not the case what so ever in any way..

Well..Wing COmmander started the whole arcade space sim genre, but I mostly meant not gameplay, but storu. Freespace2 ,where the plot was simply a shameless rip off Wing Commander IV and V stories, but without a charm of those two.
It seems like quite a few ppl in here do not fully understand what a ripoff is.gamefan67and the forum said amen. Just because game A is similar to game B doesn't make it a ripoff, esp. if a game innovated an entire genre. For example SFII, GTA3, and Mario 64 are trailblazing games. This means there are a great many games with the exact same basic elements but that doesn't make it a ripoff. A ripoff is when devs totally skimp on originality or gameplay mechanics and just throw a clone of another game out there. All of the old pac man rip offs immediately come to mind.

I am disturbed by the lack of "dead space- resident evil 4" so I will say it dead space- resident evil 4 (I enjoyed DS a lot more than RE4)lightleggy
[QUOTE="skrat_01"]Call of Duty = Medal of Honor Still. Nothing has really changed.dotWithShoesSo because the people who made Medal of Honour, made Call of Duty.. means Call of Duty is a blatant ripoff of their own ideas from Medal of Honour?so that means any developer going across to any other studio doesn't mean the IP is a ripoff?
Well then this comparison would be a whole lot more convoluted as a *whole* wouldn't it?
Fact of the matter is the CoD IP is a complete ripoff of the MoH IP, down to the game design; furthermore that the IP hasn't developed from the MoH template of design.
Dude, every single 2d figher released since Street Fighter II is VERY similar to Street Fighter II.This is VERY wrong Elaborate please. 2d(and 3d mostly) fighters are generally an eclectic collection of fighers with special moves who duke it out in best out of three rounds. They generally have zany sayings or grunts as they perform moves and generally are one on one or psbly tag team(which later came from capcom. Please name some 2d fighting games that do not fit this mold.[QUOTE="sayyy-gaa"][QUOTE="BuryMe"]

Infinity Ward was formed by people worked on MOH: Allied Assault. There were two MoH games that were released before Allied Assault.
