Greatest "OMG!" moment in a game?

There's so many for me... but my favorites were definitely...

Shadow of the Colossus - the ending. At the end of it all I realized that I just witness an amazing story told by what, five or six words? Truly art in purest form, my friends.

Mass Effect - the whole damn game. They weren't kidding in that commercial. "Many decisions lie ahead of you, none of them easy". Yeah, no joke.

Metal Gear Solid series - when the plot clicks together, in all the games, you just get this overwhelming feeling. Its hard to describe. Its like this feeling of epicness and strong emotion mixed together.

Super Metroid - the death of the Metroid. Mother Brain soon felt my wrath. That Metroid gave its life for me. Now you're gonna pay.

Final Fantasy 9 - when you realized the list of people and places that survived the game was shorter than the list of stuff that died or blew up. Yay for saving... um... a small town and couple of hobos. WOOT! Go heroes!

When the forward unto dawn makes its entry on the ark in halo 3

The most epic moment this gen IMO.

The first time I bounced on one of the Beagle Boy's head with Uncle Scrooge.

On his pogostick cane.

but it has to be returnign to shadow moses in mgs4, seeing it with the power of the ps3 and it being exactly like i remember it from 10 years ago, and with all the awesome little things. like bringing the camera directly above you or picking up the mk 23 and snake saying things like "ahh just like old times"

Man. It had the graphics, the gameplay, the SimCity elements and the best musical score in a game at the time.

ROFL... Wow... I really hope you are kidding... Play some games with a Story... it does not even need to be an RPG anything should have a better story then that...

BTW... I'm not saying Halo is a Bad game, but the story is not its selling point by any standards...... I'm almost sure I have more time On Halo 2 and 3 then you could ever have... (over 7,000 games in Halo 2 and around 3,000 in Halo 3)

I bought halo 3 because of its story so saying its not a selling point is rather stupid. and you do notice that you have almost 3000 games in halo 3 but yet it came out last year in septmber and halo 2 came out about 4 years ago :|

I've played a Lot of the Online... I've beaten both games on Legendary and I can't say the Story is Anything Near Gripping Compared to Metal Gear Solid 4, Any Final Fantasy... Halo's story just seems thrown on just to give new players a way to get used to it before they play online... Kinda Like Counter-Strike...

The Battle of Endor in Rogue Squadron 2, when hundreds of TIE fighters come flying at you in space. Simultaneously. On a Gamecube launch game.

The microwave scene in MGS4 was really impressively done.

Resident Evil 4 is full of OMG moments. Like seeing what happens when you shoot at the lake. Or having a chainsaw guy sneak up on you from behind. Or thinking you're safe from the regenerator when it's on the ground, until it LEAPS UP AND EATS YOUR FACE OH MY GOD. Fantastic game.

KOTOR was definitely the coolest one for me.

Half Life 2- When you get the super gravity gun

Team Fortress 2- When I got a freezcam of a soldier jumping in the air in a silly fashion while totally in flames.

I was blown away at the fact in MGS4 if you kill alot of people snake has a flashback from the first game with liquid yelling

"Why? Because you love the killing!" and snake then vomits, obviously due to the fact he knows it's true and it disgusts him

Well, actually multiple times in CoD4. Like when you escape the sinking barge. Then there's the nuke that goes off, and when you actually play as the Marine for a few minutes before he dies. Then also the two ICBMs firing off in the end of CoD4. Then there's CoD4's ending altogether.
