Well then how do you know it is "irrelevant". Parroting what other people told you to say? The last Gran Turismo which was 6 outscored the Forza that released at a similar time which was 5 so I think this perception of it being so much better is not so accurate.

Looking over this comment again, I'd still agree with you, kinda. But the loot crate/VIP is a minor problem compared... Okay I'm a FM fan, but damn, MS milk their Forza games TOO fuckin hard with the DLC. If you want a complete FM game, all cars etc, you will end up spending over £100. Some of them are cheap DLC, some are something like £15 a pop.

I'll allow it for me, I don't buy many new games anymore because of the DLC gouging in general (every new game more or less coming with a £25 season pass), so I might allow it on this one time deal. But despite my comment above about GT Sport which I stand by, MS do make it hard to be a fan. They don't know when to pull back and say to themselves 'lets not nickle and dime too hard'.

I'm not writing off Forza. I can acknowledge that Forza games are good and that they do stuff better than GT. GT still has the edge in gameplay because it is more sim than Forza. But you're using a sales argument in favor of Horizon but dismissing it for GT so that's quite hypocritical. If you're going to apply the sales argument do it across the board and not only when it suits your bias.

Where did I write Forza off? Please point it out or stop lying. The only thing I said is that your argument that Forza is so much better than GT is pretty debatable. You on the other hand quickly wrote GT off as if there's some kind of objective measure only you have access to but that you can't explain without falling into contradictions.

Yeah they are higher sales for GT in lifetime sales and on each game individually compared to the Forza that released at the same time. That says a lot about GT's popularity.

If it were no doubt it would sell more but this "Prologue" type of versions don't usually sell as much. Nevertheless, I wouldn't be surprised if it still outsells Forza, GT is just too popular.

If there was ever a chance for Forza to beat a Gran Turismo game in sales, GT Sport is it. I want to say dont stick your neck out for GTS sales but I'm not sure anymore. Forza 7 ended up creating its own controversy with loot boxes. Project Cars 2 came out with issues. Ps4 is starved for exclusive racing games. The demo is simmering down some negative initial reactions. The driving seems quite deep and if you care about online I suppose you can have a career there. It seems like the reviewers will have to Street Fighter 5 it for its lack of content at launch to not sell. Seems like Europe and Asia will buy it.

Can't say I remember that, but to be honest I don't remember much when it comes to PlayStation. The longest I heard it was down was 5 days and that was from 2 xmas ago from that DDOS attack, the one in which live was back up in less than 24hrs.
