Forza 3 looks very promising even more amazing is that it's only been in development since 2007 and looks incredible.[QUOTE="TR800"][QUOTE="Tragic_Kingdom7"]
Care to provide any detailed reasons why? I mean, GT fans always say crap like this and NEVER back it up with anything gameplay-related. As a PS3 only owner, I would rather GT5 be the better game (though I'm sure Forza will be amazing as well), but why the hell don't GT fans ever back up their assertions? Forza fans talk alot of smack, but will lay out all the features their game has, talk about physics, customization, etc. and GT fans talk alot of smack and have absolutely nothing to back it up other than their opinion about the graphics and the fact that it was a pioneer back in the day. The cockiness from both sides is really annoying, but it's about 100X more annoying coming from GT fans because they don't ever talk about about gameplay in general, features, physics, customization, etc.

Yeah, I think they held back a bit in terms of content for Forza 2, and went all out on Forza 3 because they knew it would come out the same time as GT5
So in a way, FM2 was kind of like Forza 3 "Prologue."[QUOTE="thelastguy"][QUOTE="TR800"] Forza 3 looks very promising even more amazing is that it's only been in development since 2007 and looks incredible.Rikusaki

So in a way, FM2 was kind of like Forza 3 "Prologue."Nope, I didn't feel the game felt like a preview or demo at all. It was fantastic and the only problem I had with it was the small number of tracks. Besides, they used a new engine for Forza 3 so it is an entierly new game.

Play.com also have Fat Princess available for pre order at the same price as all new games in the UK, even though it's only available over PSN. Unless Sony plan on selling it through some kind of download code thing or something, I believe Play.com have made yet another mistake.
Whatever the case, I just don't trust Play.com

The only true problems with forza 2 was that it literally had 0 AA, none at all, (I read forza 3 has 4xAA, is that good?) and there were those god awful snake tracks.

i wouldnt know how to react if it came out this year. i'd be glad because its sooner, but i'd also be a little mad cuz too many games that i want are coming out late this year, and im a student so money isnt in abundance...
I wish this to be true but am not holding my breath. If it does come out this year I wont mind at all though!
Obvious question should be obvious, but no one is asking so I will.
What makes us think this has anything to do with GT5's release?
This so called GT5 advertising is a Citroen concept car making its debut in the UK 10 days or so from now.
Why isn't it more possible that this has nothing to do with GT5's release, and everything to do with Citroen being ready to show their car and wanting to debut it at a European car show?
Before you answer, bear in mind that Polyphony has multiple relationships with multiple car manufacturers that have nothing to do with the release of GT5. An example of this is that Polyphony designed the dash for the Nissan GTR that was released last summer. At the time of the GTR release there was hoopla in Japan in particular because of the Nissan/Polyphony relationship and of course because the GTR is an iconic Japanese car. This situation strikes me as similar, and I don't know why anyone thinks this anything to do with the game release.

TC you just got me really excited for the inevitable battle for these two giant games. :)
And hence I have this question, if(and I mean IF) I get a 360 to play forza 3, is there a wheel in the market, or going to be in the market, that will be supported on both consoles?

Yeah including what 35 Nissan Skylines? 15 Honda Civics? You get the point. Trivial differences by model year/configuration are just that: trivial. It is an artificial and pointless number. By that basis of differentiation, you might as well say that Forza has an infinite number of cars because of customization/painting etc. An equally pointless postulation.
Imagine if the two games were released on the same day. That would be so epic if they were both reviewed at the same time also.
I just hope that these two games don't both score equally because I'm looking forward to the countless threads with ridiculous arguements about them.
Either way, owners of both the PS3 and 360 should be pleased that they will both be getting a great racing game each on their consoles.
The pressure is on.............
The gauntlet has been tossed........
Beanies have been knocked off heads.......
Chips have been knocked off shoulders
And lines in the sand have been stepped over.
Polyphony has to do something. They have been called out.

If you want drama go and watch a play. It's not like this is a life or death situation. There just games
