I expect this uber realistic game that can only be done via PS3..I don't know about you but I'm certainly not seeing it in those photos as proclaimed for months by cows as being the most impressive game visually.

Obviously not to demonstrate EVERYTHING that's available in the game. Especially if those features aren't complete.

I mean, did the PGR4 demo come with every avaiable car/track/song and every variation of weather? Of course not, be realistic.

Eh? They could to be honest. Doubtful for the final version of Prologue. Gt5 itself however, could have different trees. Although I also doubt that would happen, although it is a possibility.

Isn't amazing graphics the point of GT5? Its pretty much been established that its feature set is far below what Forza2 offers.

Driving past 2D cutouts of trees doesn't take away from the realism and presentation just a tad? :) The environments just look embarassingly bad.

The in game cockpit view doesn't even have a windshield like PGR 3 had back at 360's launch. Its just a cockpit with a cutaway to the regular game screen.

Not really, in Forza you can't slam on the accelerator, get to full speed, and then slam on the brakes and not spin off the course...Gran Turismo you can, I just did it for an entire race.

There is no damage in the demo...also...the car I played was missing a cockpit view? I didn't play much but if 1 doesn't have it why would any other have it? I'm confused, I couldn't even select my car...

You can't say GT5 does the feature aspect better than Forza 2 you just can't, and having just played the same demo you did, you can't call the graphics that much of a step up either.

the reason the crowds are 2d because ps3's split system memory architecture lacks ram compared to 360 devs cant use ram anywhere they want.

Fair enough that Forza may have the dominant paint jobs and customisation, but that doesnt exactly make it a great game. The only feature forza has over gt is its customising, nothing more.

1. Lets not make an ass out of ourselves by attempting to pen false statements on me, I didn't mention 2D trees anywhere in any of my posts:)
2. GT5 should look better than Forza 2 since its a year or two away, I never said that it wouldn't improve. I'm pointing out the fact GT:HD, GT5:Prolouge or GT5 in its current state doesn't look anywhere near as good as we thought given the recent screen shots and post E3/TGS proclaimations of the cows. Hell, it doesn't even look better than PGR4..So might I ask...what gives? "But its a demo" and the cycle of hypocricy begins again:(

the reason there are 2d crowds is because its a demo, you download it off of PSN.
no demo is going to be over 2gb and therefore they have to save space where they can, so they make the car models and tracks look amazing and make the fans and trees and backround look awful.

ITS A DEMO... get it through your head... its so you get a sample of the final product... and just like every demo ever made the final product will look better

Three levels of performance mods for just about every part of the car from the tires and rims to the engine block to the spoiler on the back.

In game (during gameplay) Dyno and HUD you pull up that lets you calibrate and adjust dozens of settings

Custom paintjobs that allow some freakishly talented people to do photo quality emblems and designs.

As far as I've heard, GT5 isn't shipping with any of that. They've "claimed" damage will get patched in later. Let's see how GT5's "amazing" car models look once they've changed so that they're able to take damage.

a beta is for online testing... a demo is what you said to get buyers interested. and GT5 will look better when the final game is released and all the fanboys who think this is what the final game will look like are just dumb.

utnophysics, I think most people would say GT5 looks better than Forza2. Stop posting the photomode shots of Forza. My only comment was that the *track* environments in Forza look better. Turn10 didn't use 2D anything or flat photos of a crowd pasted onto stands.

The real comparison is PGR4 vs GT5 and PGR4 easily wins that IMO.

The real point here is that GT5 is hardly the graphical showpiece the PS3 was counting on.
