Lol that looks pretty hilarious, but the damage has more than likely been turned off.

Rewatch the video and tell me they are acting believable by at least a little...

When the car runs through them, you can immediately tell that they aren't even reacting to the free fall effect of gravity. Let alone reacting to the force vectors of the car...

I wonder if they have implemented the mechanical damage yet. I am going to wait until next year before I judge the game...for all I know, they could have it on a casual setting...but well see.

Lol wut? You seriously expect they'd just fall to the ground immediately after they roll over the top of the car? Sadly, this is the only video I could find of someone running through a plastic barrier, (yes I know it's a go kart race, blah blah, but the effects would be multiplied at a higher speed, and it's the same thing only a much smaller vehicle) Go to around 15 seconds, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8Al295To7Q. After the barriers go over the car, they're not just going to fall to the ground.

Didn't they say a few companies didn't want their cars smashed up, so they were only allowed scratches?

Still, it doesn't even look like they had internal damage on that one.

Huh...? Are you suggesting objects don't fall to the ground when there is nothing supporting their weight? Have you taken a physics class? Even the video you used as evidence fails... because it only further proves my point. The GT3 video's gravity / object physics modeling is messed up... I'm sorry, but rewatch it a few times. It's blatently obvious. Let alone the force vectors are all messed up.

I don't see why these car manufacturers act this way. It's like they want to fool the world into thinking their cars can take hits from anything short of the Incredible Hulk!

Um...... Damage is calculated via physics. You do not slam into a wall and expect the car to simply bounce off with simple dents. Please try to drive into a wall, and put it on youtube to prove us wrong.

:| *sigh* Ok, let's try this again. First all, let me point out, after the 1st and 2nd barrier, which are stuck in front of the car, the rest end up launching at different angles off of these two. Now, that in itself creates them to go seperate ways. Next, the barriers are moving roughly at the same rate of the car. Once they are caught by the wind (which happens after they move from the front of the car), they aren't simply going to fall to the ground immediately.

I had registered in this site for a long time, because of reviews and article, that I like. But I never wrote here, the issue is that I came by a link up here and saw this thread, and it amused me for physicals. I leave this, the demo forza 3

gif forza 3

are small "bug" that will be corrected in the final version. :P ;)

edit: hups ! gif already had written, sorry

LOL... I do understand. You're putting your own spin on it which is total crap. The wind is not going to cause the plastic tubes to slowly fall to the ground, to that degree, regardless of what you say. EVEN THE VIDEO YOU POSTED acts contrary to your claim. Secondly, the force vectors are completely off given the barriers do nothing but roll over the car, instead of spin uncontrollably away as they should. It's so clear... I'm genuinely disturbed that you actually believe that is realistic.

You know that the only reason the car rocked back over on to its wheels is because the game allows you to do that, right? :|

It's not bad physics, it's something the game allows you to do.

The video I linked definitely doesn't contradict my claim, unless you're blind and can't see the white barrier which is launched into the air. Simple physics is spinning something? I never said it was completely realistic, but it definitely portrays what would happen to the barriers in that situation, of course if they don't weigh too much. And really, the funny thing is, they're not even falling to the ground that slow, if slow at all.

so.. Before it's Graphic, but after demo came out.. tha argument is a failure.... then it was Car Damage, and that was a failure argument too.. Now it's Physics??? gonna beg when F3 comes out.. the argument is a failure too?? trend doesn't look good for you.
