GT5 - Very 2D Trees

Wow, that's thie first time I've seen any GT5 footage...and I gotta say...it looks realy unimpressive.

Wow, that's the first gameplay i've looked at, and its not looking that great. The trees are sprites! Also, a thin grassy fence boarders the track and actually prevents a car from going outside of the assigned track area? Really? I thought it was supposed to have teh damagez systemz, but apparently scenery realism was an afterthought for them... dissappointed.

My post will go un-noticed and/or ignored by the GT5 haters of course. But would one of you explain to me why, you're complaining about one bush, compared to the hundreds of other beautiful things you could see in that video. Also that's an unfinished build, dur. Also Dirt2 will be left in the dust, when GT5 comes out. In just about every-way. Not that Dirt 2 (or 1) are bad games in any way. paradigm68

Not a huge issue. I mean, its a racing sim, not a nature watch sim.

Dirt 2 beat GT5 in all graphical aspect from what I have seen.

And this is just the Directx 9 version.

Dirt 2 is so awsome it exceeds your bandwith!

Funny, because the one thing I take notice of more than anything in a racing game is the trees. Why just the other day when I was at a friends house playing Forza 3, I stopped my car mid race to admire this beautiful tree beside the course, I was simply stunned by its majesty.

Best in game tree EVER.

I can see that another sleepless night has occured while looking for these "flaws". Get a life.

dumb gripe. every game from the genesis to the high end PC games have 2-D backdrops.

This is why Trees are important.
