Well, Motor Trend refered to it a the new skyline, it may not be the official name, but if nothing else its a spitiual succesor

not sure why you would say its not a skyline, when this car has been called the skyline by many publications, seems somewhat nit picky to me, its not that big of a deal

The damage isn't very realistic in Forza so that to me isn't a plus, unless it can be done well. The paint editor is very cool addition, but I don't think GranTurismo has ever been about pimping your ride. :)

The creators and official site for the car say otherwise.

Secondary sources aren't exactly the best places for information on others creations and labels.

Now if they just put the menu system back to the way it was in gt3 or forza, instead of that god awful Map thing they did for gt4 i'll be sold!

It's more realistic then GT5. If the game plays like the HD demo on my PS3 I wouldn't even waste my money. I hope Polophony fixes the A.I. and all that rubber banding BS when you bump into other cars. Graphics is only 1/4 of a game. GT las always had great car model graphics. That's a given. It's their gameplay, modes and option that have really lacked in the series. I have more fun playing the Burnout games then I have with GT. The GT series has been race, place, unlock, rinse and restart. After about 100 races you'll be bored to death.

Uncharted already PWNED the 360 in terms of graphics, GT would be an overkill...

Brilliant. I'm not a huge fan of racing games, but I did find GT4 pretty good (the fact that I could happily smash other cars off the track helped me believe that I'm good at racing games, when in fact I'm good at road crime).

I'm more of a Burnout fellow though.

PS: Actually, a lemming is the kind of person that praises his own console. The main problem is that you're a bashing fanboy. I have a question for you: If a movie has CGI special effects, it isnt worthy anymore? Same applies for those 2d trees. As long as the overal thing looks realistic and the gameplay isnt affected, you have nothing to complain about. That's, after all, what they have done in other games playing with camera angles. But your only point is bashing a console you dont own...well, an exclusive game of said console.

By the way, most games have "2D" trees. the leafs are normally a simple plane polygon filled with an alpha texture. Havent seen a game rendering 200-300 3d leafs per trees. I would like you to correct your statement, please.

The cars are incredible no doubt but in a racing game the environment is probably more important (unless you only drive around looking at your car) so I'm going to not faint as they don't wow me much.Tasman_basic

The cars are more important. You don't look at your car OR the environment; you look at the OTHER CARS. As long as the environment doesn't distract, it does its job.

agreed. after all, if you do your job right, you'll be in first place and won't see other cars...

environments are parmamount in most racer's opinions....

i just can't wait to see the damage kaz put in after his claim that he didn't do damage until he can make it completely realistic (lame excuse for having it before)...

so it MUST be the most realistic damage ever seen in a game... i can't wait... :D
