The cars are incredible no doubt but in a racing game the environment is probably more important (unless you only drive around looking at your car) so I'm going to not faint as they don't wow me much.tango90101
agreed. after all, if you do your job right, you'll be in first place and won't see other cars...
environments are parmamount in most racer's opinions....
i just can't wait to see the damage kaz put in after his claim that he didn't do damage until he can make it completely realistic (lame excuse for having it before)...
so it MUST be the most realistic damage ever seen in a game... i can't wait... :D
Famitsu said the damage is realistic. But it won't take much to pwn Forza 2's cosmetic damage. And the environments will be fine. Stop nit-picking GT5 when Forza 2 is a jaggfest by all acounts.
framerate looks bad based on the animated gif - guess i'll wait until retail to make a decision. i've always loathed GT, even when I was a hardcore cow.. the realism was just never there - any realism that was there was totally destroyed the momeny you slam in to a barrier and bounce off it.
hopefully the addition of a damage system will help - time will tell.
i'll tell you one thing though, unlike most of you i couldn't give 2 **** how good it looks, racing games are all in the details, i.e. how it drives, handles, plays are far more important to me - and that's the department where i felt GT has always let me down in the past.

ouch - that's pretty sad coming from you Dreams, lost a bit o' respect. since when are you all about the visuals?
and re: damage system, GT5 better do individual component damage and have it really affect the driving mechanics or Forza is just going to pwn it even if the visual indications of damage aren't as well done.
it's all about how a game plays - not looks.
If the car tuning is as good or better than Forza's and it has an equivalent physics system, then GT5 will be the new King. But every real racer fan knows, it's not how it looks, but how it drives. JocktheMotie
exactly. 8)
if i want a realistic looking driving experience i'll get in my ******** car.

I'm sorry...I guess at some point someone told you I was looking for "respect" from you or anyone else here. Since when did I say I was all about the visuals? What makes you suddenly conclude that Polyphony won't deliver? When GT5 drives wonderfully with better damage modeling, what will you say then?

Except your car probably sucks, so it won't be much of a driving experience. lol. I see no reason to assume GT5 won't have equivalent or better physics. Idunno about Prologue...but if the 39/40 Famitsu just gave it is an indication, it'll be juuuust fine.
and here's one of the reason Forza is better
damage, oh and fully customized paintjobs
crispytheone88
so u didnt get the memo? GT5 has damage :)

lmao - like your frequent posts and your avatar don't speak volumes about your quest for attention and respect.
i don't care if you care, or if you want to admit that's all you're lookin for here - just letting you know that since the gerstmann thread i think you dropped a few pegs in quite a few peoples books. used to actually enjoy seeing a new post from you because they were usually interesting - not really anymore though, you seem to focus on visuals, and your need to brag about your bmw (weak car btw) and your focus on visuals all the time just make me not want to.
just an fyi. but you've already indicated you don't care - so it's all good :) see ya guys, im outta here.
One of the best looking games of all time. But don't bring PGR into this! PGR is a great game and is more of a mix between arcade and simulation, not a full blown simulation like GT or Forza. But yeah, I bet Forza 3 is not going to beat this.wallpaper42should not bring forza 3 into this either since it's not even announced or anything yet... and if it is, chances are forza 3 will be better than gt5 because it would come later. or that's what we'd expect at least... i mean, if not... then lol at forza3

reach more. please. it's entertaining.
1.) my frequency of posts is a function of my enjoyment of talking about games. I could care less who likes my posts and who doesn't. that applies to you.
2.) my avatar is a picture I took of my car on a rainy day. I'm using that because my old avatar (the fractal) got modded. you'll have to get over it. my car >>>>>> your car and your parents car.
3.) who cares about the Gertsman thread? and who cares what others think? The funny thing, as I recall, is that I was 100% correct and people were mad because I wasn't interesting in hearing kids cry and moan. lmao. see point #1. I post here for fun. I have real friends and a real life. My girlfriend won a beauty/scholarship pageant last month and college is going well. The opinions of those people are the ones I care about...not people who's real names i don't even know. News flash: Interwebs are NOT serious business. :)
Now back to our regularly scheduled program. Keep crying about Forza. It's owned.
