GTA V PC Looks almost identical to Ps4. #wait4mods?

So aside from the possibility of a constant 60fps and up to 4k resolution, this looks largely the same. Thoughts? Personally I was expecting a bigger visual difference.

What are the specs of the PC being used? You saw how many graphic options there are for the PC....are they really comparing apples to apples?

Yeah they look the same. But seriously some of the graphic overhauls that the modders did with gta 4 if they do it with GTA 5 its gonna make a heck of a difference.

Yeah I'm expecting some awesome things from the mod community.

The video counters the "it's an entirely different game" narrative that's been spun by some of the more die hard PC enthusiasts who frequent this forum. Thus the rustled jimmies.

It certainly does look better on PC though, particularly in motion thanks to the improved frames per second. Although to achieve 60+ FPS you're going to need a strong setup, which is corroborated by some of the benchmarks being published. Fact is it's a masterpiece of a game on all platforms, and is worth $60 if you haven't had a chance to play it yet.

I know man, it's really sad :(. Seems like these guys are just going to flood my thread with negativity and that's not cool.

They spend more time talking about their boner than actually playing with it, what a world.

Ehh I am not excited about those graphics mods though. If only JulioNB could import his Iron man mod from gta 4 to 5 from day one. The most fun I've had with gta 4 was playing as Iron man/hulk/ any other superhero mod.

I'll wait for DF analysis so we can figure out which one has more grass

I love how people like the TC seem to assume that higher resolution in "just" higher resolution, when in fact, it allows for better perpection of textures, shadows, lighting etc. Which the game does have. And 60fps.

It's a last gen port that can't even manage stable 30fps on PS4, what is the point of this comparison? Why not wait and compare Witcher 3 once it's released next month.

Excellent explanation, I agree the 60fps especially will make a gameplay difference particularly when aiming in multiplayer.

I'm pretty sure none of the cows will dare appear in the DF thread including the TC.

I can't play my copy yet, I didn't preload it and I have to be in Liverpool for 8am tomorrow so I have to go to bed in a minute. Only just got in from work D:

It's just a last gen game. Witcher 3 will be a real game to compare. Even though it's graphics are a bit downgraded, but newer build looks really good and comes close to 2013 quality in some scenes. I still expect different between PC and Console versions to be big. They said, they'll release Console footage before release. Will be nice to see, how it holds up.

There's obviously a resolution boost, then some slight improvements here or there, but nothing major. It's clearly just the Ps4 version with some slight improvements and a big option menu.

I like when they are showing the PS3 version it's like the screen is being plastered with vaseline.

That doesn't look maxed out. The draw distance difference between PS4 and PC is actually pretty big, the image quality is generations better in 4k (Hard to see the difference on YT though which its shitty bitrate)

He just said he maxed it. aside from the resolution which he kept at 1080.

I'm interested in why the PS4 version has greener grass.

I saw some posts from people with like 660ti's that apparently this game runs better for them than gta 4 did, which is surprising. It's been optimized atleast.

@ReadingRainbow4: I noticed that. I'm holding on to some hope that it will look different on my PC at the weekend then again I only played the 360 version.

The game looked great on PS3 and looked even better on PS4... On PC I'll get it once its on sale for mods and 60FPS.

it might not be a big difference but going from 30fps to 60fps on rather modest hardware ( GX 760/ R9 280 ) is quite the difference . Add to that small differences such as drawing distance slightly better textures/shadows and the fact that the game seems to be running great on a variety of hardware ( including been able to play the game at close to max settings from mid range gpu's from 3 years ago albeit at 30fps ) rockstar did a pretty damn good job on pc this time ( unlike GTA IV )

Yeah I'll definitely be double dipping, I only experienced the ps3 version and the constant frame drops were too much in spots.

I have the PS3 and PS4 versions. I plan on getting the PC version but I have to admit that I am surprised by how slight the difference between PS4 and PC is considering I was expecting a big improvement. What makes the slight difference more alarming is the long development cycle and all the hype surrounding the PC version. I will probably wait for a price drop and all the good mods to release before picking it up.
