$379 for a 1070 that's about equal to a Titan X and outperforms a 980 Ti, holy SHIT
the 970 didn't even outperform the 780 Ti, goddamn...

I wasn't alluding that the new card might kill off consoles because it won't. However, the 1080 has made PC undisputably the best platform to game on out of all choices. The 1070 is even cheaper at $379 and it boasts 6.5tflops and 8GB GDDR5. Who knows what AMD will come out with, but they'll be close and at price points even cheaper. It's never been a better time to be a PC gamer. I for one, cannot wait to SLI 1080s and play Warhammer Total War on ultra settings.
It's also twice as faster than Titan X and 980ti. It's over for consoles.
I thought it was over for consoles when the original Titan was released? Then the PS4 ends up selling 40 million units and yet you PC dweebs keep calling for the death of consoles. Yeah, nice bait.

There are already plenty of PC GPU's on the market more powerful than the PS4, so why would this new GPU suddenly make it the "best platform for gaming"?
Its just a graphics card man. If PC was going to take over consoles it would have done so already, yet it hasn't and won't because a PC isn't a home console and the mainstream audience isn't going to shove some big ass PC in their living room. Even ITX PC's are more bulkier than a PS4, not to mention the UI isn't as stripped down and simple.
My new rig will have one of these...oh yes, it will be mine.
Why, you hate PC.
No...I hate the hermits here.
Not PC.
See, you actually dont know shit about me.
You just summed up my sentiments about PS4 and cows.
Maybe we should... team up and rule this forum, spiderman.
RIP consoles, who's going to buy the $400 Neo when you can pay $379 for the 1070 and get better performance than a Titan X?
I didn't realize that all one needed was simply a graphics card to play games.
Lol yeah... shows you how full of sh** they are.

Lol wut? The 1080 hasn't made the PC indisputably the best choice for gaming. The 670/7950 did it 4 years ago.
FinFET works as advertised i.e. pref/watt improvements delivered!
Medium size chip with 40 SM at 1770Mhz (boost speeds) = 9.062 TFLOPS
Max TDP of ~180 Watts.
With higher TDP head room, the GPU's clock speed can be set to very high numbers.
twice faster than 980ti lol where did you get that from?
980ti/titan x are ~7Tflops
try ~30% faster
Pascal's SM register file storage vs stream processor count is superior to Maxwell's SM.
Pascal SM unit
Stream processors: 64 CUDA cores
Register File: 256 KB (Kilobyte)
Ratio: 4 KB per CUDA core
--------------------
Maxwell SM unit
Stream processors: 128 CUDA cores
Register File: 256 KB
Ratio: 2 KB per CUDA core
Pascal SM unit can handle higher complex shaders better than Maxwell SM unit.
@emgesp A remaster. An interactive movie. A game that has been in development longer than you have been alive. Another game that isn't out from a developer with a so-so track record.
Lol is that 5Club?
Be serious. Bloodborne, R&C and Uncharted 4. It stops there. Quite mediocre for a system that has been out for three years.

What remaster? That was hinting at God of War 4.
And it was GT Sport, not DC.
@emgesp: You're really putting a game that might come out in 2018 on the list?
GT has been made irrelevant by Forza years ago. It's no longer the best racing franchise.
Anyway so by 2018 we will have God of War 4, Uncharted 4, GT Sport, Horizon, R&C, Bloodborne and the system will be 6 years old by then. That's barely an average of 1 great game a year assuming all of the games I mentioned turn great.
Lol pathetic.
@Juub1990:
Shit's crazy man.
In the first year alone the PS2 had Ico, MGS2, GTA3, GT3, Twisted Metal Black, FFX, Tony Hawk 3, Silent Hill 2, and that's just off the top of my head, there were other goodies.
I'm not expecting the PS4 to be the PS2 for us, but holy shit man. After nearly 3 years, "Just wait" loses its luster.
I will take this video card over those games lol. POWER IS POWER. I'd better play my 350 PC game collection at the best quality as possible
My 970 still handles everything pretty solidly; granted, I am looking to build a sweet HTPC 4K setup in my living room so maybe one of these will do the trick/

I'm talking about people that already own a PC. That was a trollmentos thread where he claimed PC gamers were going to be tempted by the Neo, no need for that, pay less than the new console and get a major performance boost.
It's also twice as faster than Titan X and 980ti. It's over for consoles.
Xbox Next supposed to reach 10TFlops though.
MS and hardware...

That's just a sample of games. Plus, I didn't even mention the fact it has all the best third party titles as well.
40 million PS4's have been sold by now, so obviously consoles are still very relevant.

Just because someone owns a PC doesn't mean they can just throw one of these cards in and everything will run just dandy. You'd need a semi decent rig already. The market for the PS4 Neo is not the same market interested in PC gaming. You can't compare the two because console gamers are not gonna drop their machines just because better PC hardware is released. Again, if that actually was a threat then console gaming would have been dead by now.
When was the last time a PC game got a ton of perfect scores? Uncharted 4 destroys every PC exclusive that has released since 2015.

That game doesn't deserve a 10 lol. Besides in its genre there's no doubt that's a very good game, but that genre is really boring to lots of people, just like assasins creed and tomb raider series.
There's more to the world than exclusives as well but it's not like the pc doesn't get any good exclusives, like dayz, elite dangerous and ark survival for instance.
Whoever buys top of the line gfx cards must be crying in their bed. Here they are, selling a card twice as fast as titan X for half of the price.
I dont regret getting 980ti the slightest, it'll do good till 1080ti/ amd's flagship comes out, but if I were to care about 50$ console price drops then that would be a different story
Gonna get me that 1070. Please give me 980-980ti level performance
When was the last time a PC game got a ton of perfect scores? Uncharted 4 destroys every PC exclusive that has released since 2015.
Dude, it's been nearly 3 years since the console launched and it'd gotten 3 worthwile exclusives.
PC already has XCOM2 and Stardew Valley this year alone. Total Warhammer is coming up and SQ42 latter this year.
You're going to have to wait another whole year for Horizon and TLG now. GOW is going to be 2018 game (every AAA sony game gets delayed)
While the ps4 gets the higher scoring games, it's like 1 90s game for 3 or 4 high 80s pc games.
And your exclusives are literally the only thing it does good.
I think i'll be getting the $300 Polaris, should plow through 1080p games. Think i'll wait for 4k monitor prices to come down, plus cards will still struggle with it for now.

So you're happy with middle of the road products for the rest of your life? Whatever you buy now, something will always supersede it, fact of life.
