Probably not but I hope LOL :D
I'm sorry, but it really upsets me that fighting games are coming out and are not online. I'm not saying this as bash towards the Wii, I'm talking about Virtual Fighter and any other fighting game. I'm personally not going to buy any fighter unless I can play online.I've been meaning to get into Guilty Gear for some time now, hopefully the Wii version controls well.bc1391

Guilty Gear is awesome, but Isuka sucks. I bought it for the PS2 and all I can say is I'm glad I didn't buy the new copy. Still, if this is anything like Guilty Gear 2, you're in for a treat. Gorgeous 2d graphics is something the Wii should be able to ace. It's kind of like those awesome games you saw on the Advance....Castlevania, Metroid.
Then they put that Metroid Hunters FPS crap on the DS and the 2 screen gimmick on new Castlevania...bleh.
It's like a friggin' time warp. I hope they find something interesting for you to do with the controller and grats.

Very true, also with online framerate takes a huge drop, and cheaters exploit the glitches and unbalances of the game to the very end. This is why you NEVER see fighting game fans *true fans of the genre, aka those who buy and master the games* go online.

See this is why I get mad when 360 *fanboys not fans* say that the 360 has better fighting games then the PS3 or the Wii's VC because of online, seriously why would you play online.
I play Jump Ultimate Stars and online is horrible, it's more fun playing the COM IMHO.
Never played a Guilty Gear, but I've wanted to, just can't find it. But I like 2D Fighters.KeyWii
I just picked up Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, SNK vs Capcom 2 EO, and Guilty Gear X2 Reloaded. They are all online enable on XBL so you can't go wrong if you're looking for 2D fighters that are good, low priced, and most important online. There is also DoaU and Doa4 which are online as well making imo the xbox platform the best for fighters atm.

Why would I play online? Well because the computer isn't a challenge and its hard to find people that are dedicated to the game so online is the best way to find good players. I mean if online wasn't important for fighters then GS wouldn't have trounced VF4 now would it? You may think its more fun playing against a COM but playing against an actual opponent who will devise and counter your own strategies is a lot better. Sure playing offline is the best way to play but the option to play online should ALWAYS be there none the less.
I would like guilty gear accent core a lot more if they didn't hire an extrmeley gay (I'm serious) sounding announcer.

...ya, Japanese fighters are notoriously known for having bad English announcers. Street Fighter 3, however, had a decent one. Soundtrack was thompin too. ^^

Fighters are not good online games. Even the tiniest amount of lag will ruin the experience. Splitscreen is still good for some things.

I have to agree. But, speaking for myself, I would be dissapointed if Nintendo announced tomorrow that SSBB would not be able to feature online gaming.

Lol Actually there are fighters that use that. When the character's start to separate from one another, the screen then goes into splitscreen mode in orther for the players to not miss the action.

First off most review sites don't know too much about rating figthing games *or other niche genres*. If they did then Mortal Kombat Deception wouldn't have out scored Street Fighter III: The Third Strike. Hell IGN gave Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for the Xbox a 3.9!!!! I'm just saying this so you don't judge what fighting game to get by ratings.
Also even though I strongly disagree with you we all have our own opinions so I have no choice but to respect it.

Smash should be alright online during the first couple of weeks, that is before people exploit the glitches of online.
I just pray to got it's nothing like Jump Ultimate Stars.
[QUOTE="Click_Clock"]Those graphic stinks...So far the only good graphical game on the Wii is super mario galaxy.humcast
Do you really think the graphics stink, because GG series has probably the best 2D graphics aside from 3s..........
Can anyone tell me why Third Strike is so under-rated. *Commercial wise*
