Halo 3 has been out for nearly 2 years, and barely 30% of 360 owners bought it.

Considering the fact this is one of the few true exclusives for the 360, isn't that kind of sad?

MGS 4 has been out for 9 months. Compare that to the 1 year and 7 months Halo 3 has been out.

halo 3 still sells, Halo 3 still sold more then any ps3 game, Halo 3 still sold more then alot of game combined, Halo 3 is still played more then every ps3 game combined :)

Just stop your thread fails, whats mgs4 selling a week now, 7k a week? halo 3 is still in the 20k's a week (according to vgchartz, just the only source we got)

Not that many games can sell 10 million copies. Most companies are happy with selling a million or two. Selling 10 mil is phenomenal.

Of course HALO 3 is going to sell it's HALO it has its own mountain dew flavor. The marketing juggernaut was in full effect for anything HALO. The game is a sloppy bloated fragfest which is perfect for the 360 crowd. The lowest common denominator is now the XBOX 360 fanboy and it is proven time and time again. I am not defending any Wii or Sony fanboys mind you, it's just that now XBOX 360 is the default system like PS2 was, only not near as good or innovative as far as first party games go. The 360 is doing for consoles what microsoft did for OS take that how you will some love it some hate it. Halo will always sell GTA will always sell these are not a suprise as much as they speak about just how influenced by hype and marketing this gen is. A game like Little big planet will sell a handful in comparison, just don't say nobody warned you in 5 years when originality is dead in gaming.

I don't like Halo, and so I didn't buy it. I played and beat it at a friend's house in one day on Legendary and never looked back.

really? halo 3 set a world record by selling $170 million worth of units in 24 hours in just the US. that's 2.83 million units at $60, or 2.43 million units for the $70 limited edition, or 1.42 million for the $120 legendary edition. it's easy to say that halo 3 sold more than 2 million units of all three editions combined in 24 hours in just the US. not north america, just the US. what ps3 exclusive has come close?
