Yea it says 4/11/05 and it clearly says alpha build.  The game was clearly being developed before the 360 ever launched.  I can't wait to play the Beta.  Its gonna kick a$$.

First off....if any of you guys KNEW what an Alpha build is...then yeah...you'd keep quiet about that claim. What you are mixing up is the fact that they throw a few pre-alpha/alpha shots into the whole video and call it alpha without being specific. WHAT YOU SAW THOSE PEOPLE PLAYING WAS BETA.

That said Halo 3 WILL NOT be able to compete with Resistance: Fall of Man LET ALONE Killzone 2...and before you say it sucks...check out the shots of MC fallen in slow motion...looks like Doom 1....and the grenade explosions...no comment..I'll let you defend that.....

So why are people trying to say this is all an alpha? When it is clearly NOT...

I'm not entirely sure that date is correct. It just seems a little far fetched that they showed footage which is a year and a half old.

But nevertheless, one thing is certain and that is that the build is a very old alpha build. 

Halo 3 LOOKS identical to Halo 2......so how is it that it can compete to Resistance when Resistance has less lag, bigger online games, more enemies onscreen, greater draw distance, beter framerate, a better story (though Clifford the Big Red Dog Pwns Halo story easy)NextGenNow

No they weren't. That footage was months old. They're probably doing the beta right now but that footage is old.

GTA IV just got teh uber nerfing cuz of DVD9. Rockstar is being polite but we ALL know that's the reason why. GTA IV will be smaller than The new Getaway. FACT. As for R:FoM...at least it has better graphics than Halo 3

I don't doubt that in the slightest. I'm pretty sure it will look extremely different. I'm just not sure that was the proper date when the video was taken, that's all.

lol..funny how bungie right now are using a year old engine in a brand new footage shown rencently. what happen to the so called realime Halo 3 06 trailer that halo 3 is suppose to look like...if it looked like that back then why haven't we seen anything close to that right now??? but OLD beta/alpha rubbish???

Lemmings seriouslly don't expect mind blowing improvements graphically, since Halo 2 couldn't even deliver regarding its older realtime/gameplay footage.. geez.

That was realtime. They stopped the video and showed it from different views to prove it. And they spent time making the trailer look good to show off what the engine is capable of, the game isn't going to look that way in Alpha stages.

Fact the video, the screens, all say its an alpha build and its 1 year old u blind. Fact Halo is a proven AAA series. Fact Halo 2 had an awesome online multiplayer with almost no lag. Fact Halo 3 like all FPS games from here on in, will look better than resistance. face it. resistance is good but halo is better. halo has the better gameplay, story, online, matchmaking, weapons, vehicles, maps, environments, etc. sure resistance is a good FPS but in no way is it one of the great FPS games. ur just a blind cow who cant face facts. u hype killzone on a pre rendered video. thats about as blind a fanboy can be.
