I assume you don't mean that in terms of value.II-FBIsniper-II
Define "value".
If the campaign was 12 hours long, of more Master Chief corridor shooting, and it also came with Firefight (forget the original multiplayer), does that give the game more value? You could essentially call that one Halo 4, price it at $60 and no one would complain, would they?
Instead we've been told that this was originally an expansion. It's still on the old, outdated Halo 3 engine. It takes 5 hours to complete the campaign doing a straight point-to-point run through. It has Firefight, which looks like a Horde rip-off. Oh, and it comes with the old Halo 3 maps and map packs. To a pessimist, or anyone who looks at value purely pound for pound, yeah, you can piss all over the 'value' of this game.
Personally though, I'm excited. I find value in the change of pace. Looking at the first cutscene alone, and you can tell this is less sci-fi cinema, more sci-fi television (helps that Nathan Fillion and Adam Tudyk provide the acting). The way the narrative is presented is also pretty bloody refreshing. Then not only are you navigating in an open world hub, you're playing as an ODST. Never mind the whole 'he's weaker than Master Chief' type crap. I've always wanted to experience what it's like seeing eye-to-eye with a Jackal, rather than towering over him in a 7 foot frame. And just imagine how big the Brutes are compared to you. It's the little things like that which I find value in.
If all you're worried about is the $60, then honestly, I recommend you just forget about the game. Whining about it won't change a thing, and it's best you go redirect your time and feelings to a game you find joy in talking about.
I'm not justifying the price, but it's like damn, the game is coming out in a couple of weeks. Either get it or get over it. I knew I was going to get the game whether I found the price reasonable or not.

I'll be getting the game the day it comes out. That doesn't change that it's probably the worst $60 I've spent on a game this gen. It's sad that I'm saying that about a Halo game. --- Glitchspot strikes again.
Uhh...yeah they would. The cornerstone for Halo is its multiplayer. Charging $60 for a Halo that doesn't come with a new multiplayer is the ridiculous part.II-FBIsniper-II
Wait a minute.
You're telling me that all this time, I've bought all three Halo games for its multiplayer?
All this while, I thought I did day-one purchases for Halo for its single player.
Anyway, it comes with Firefight. If you don't value Firefight as the new multiplayer, then I dunno aye.
Or, you know, someone who looks at value and compared the content in this and the amount of content in other games...IN THE SAMESERIES!II-FBIsniper-II
You're saying I didn't look at the value?
I thought I implicitly stated that if this was another 12 hour Master Chief campaign with another set of standard Halo multiplayers maps, would you be happy shelling out $60? In all honesty I would be thinking twice about that one (Where Halo 3 was suppose to be the final game in the Halo FPS series, right after Halo 2 was suppose to be the final game in the Halo FPS series. Bungie  ). We've played the same Halo game three times in a row, so what value do you find in the same long drawn out linear corridor shooter with 11 maps, a couple which essentially will be remakes of old ones?
Halo 3 is essentially Halo 2 which is essentially Halo 1. Halo 3: ODST is the one coming from left field. A comforting thought, if I may say so myself.

Yeah, coz apparently, I was suppose to be playing Halo for its multiplayer.

Deleting SW is not such a bad idea. If forumites counted up the hours they waste on System Wars everyday, they'd realize over a year's time, they could've done something special with their life. But let's not go there.
You are worried about the $60. You're moaning about it. Like I said, don't moan about it. It's not good for your health. Look to greener pastures or something. Don't beat the dead horse, because it's now all smelly and ****. Pretty sure it's got all this nasty bacteria lingering around its entrails too.

Ive heard that to reach the beta (pun not intended) you only need to have the disc, and then you get an option to acess the beta from there when it is released.

Not everyone buys Halo for the multiplayer. Just because you do, does NOT make it the same case for everyone. I have friends who cant wait for the next Halo game and they don't even have XBL. Im not gonna say i dont enjoy the Halo multiplayer, because i do, in fact i love it. But i love the campaign too and this ODST campaign looks like such a refreshing change from the past three Halo games that it warrants the price for me. Then again, i am only paying 30 for it when RRP is 40 so its not so bad.
anybody know when the embargo will be lifted for reviews to rush in?OPuniverseGamesRadar said they're posting their review 'next weekend'.

I never said everyone buys it for the multiplayer.Anyway, it comes with Firefight. If you don't value Firefight as the new multiplayer, then I dunno aye.FrozenLiquidFirefight is a new mode. Not a new multiplayer.

Yeah, coz apparently, I was suppose to be playing Halo for its multiplayer.FrozenLiquidApparently getting two TV actors to voice characters is a "change of pace" along with playing a character who is a foot shorter.
