as long as the 360 has a hard drive, who cares if it has 2 discs.... wonder if you'll have to "install" one disc and run with the other in?

I think dvd disk swapping was not a big deal in the past with ps2 and xbox but these days it is kind of laughable.Zero-G_basic

Yea like the PS3 not having rumble and custom soundtracks.

Or how 360 has no motion sensing.  What does the 360 have in hardware that allows it to have custom soundtracks that the PS3 doesn;t?  Nothing.  Its just a matter of an update, baby.

Yea you wait for something that should have been there since launch? if it's so trivial then why are you guys still waiting on it? you got that big hard drive and you can't even have custom soundtracks? pathetic!

you just showed your ignorance.  My question on PS3 hardware was a rhetorical one.  Do you know what that means?  It means there was no answer needed because there wasn;t one.  All PS3 needs to have custom soundtracks is a software update.

All 360 needs to play HD movies is a separate component you have to pay extra for.  And the only way for 360 to have games based on a high capacity disc is to convert a majority of the 360 owners.  Sounds like alot more work than just swapping discs.

It's because it's not really a big deal. Halo 3 is gonna sell by the boat load. Stop caring about something that really concern you

It does concern me.  This anti-PS3 pro 360-wins-it-all is crap.  MS has shortcut their 360 owners and they don't even get it.

Yeah i mean i have to get up and switch a disk!!!!!!!!! oh lord what is I's gon' do?!?!

Read all of the posts, sunshine.  Disc swapping is a small part of the issue.

Swapping discs is not an issue at all. You being stubborn is an issue.

If you feel system wars is slanted in X360's favor you can always tread back to the desert that is the PS3 boards  or you can stup getting frustrated about things you can do nothing about.

Ive got it, you know with Halo 2 you could either download or buy the new maps? I think the collectors edition will have extra content such as maps! and to make sure its only the Collectors edition who get it they've put it on the disc, I mean what company would want to switch from producing the normal Halo 3 and the collectors with added content when you can produce both at the same time and put the content discs with the Collectors and Legendary sets!martin_f

It is just the matter of an update but it should have been done long ago really.
The 360 has got motion sensing just not in the form of a controller, it has vision. And Bill Gates is hinting that maybe with this Xbox or the neXtbox but he was hinting at instead of using a controller why not use your real tennis racket. He said something along the liens of that etc. but he suggested Advanced 3D motion sensing camera .

Maybe the Single player is on one disk and the Multiplayer is on the other.  That would mean more multiplayer content for us to enjoy ^_^

I didn't buy a X360 so i can sit there and watch movies on it. Also playing movie's on a taxes it more. I'd rather download it and watch it instead. Also i'm not forced to buy a seperate player to watch movies on. I got a dvd player that serves it's purpose.

What each version includes has already been released, we know that there is only 1 bonus content disc with the Collectors. The picture also plainly states Game Disc 1 and Game Disc 2.

I don't see no problem. All i see are a bunch of 'what if" coming from you. Look the majority is not going to care. I'm not spending $600 dollars just so everything can be on one disc. i'll rather save 200 bucks and get off my butt and switch the disc.

Hmm... multiple game discs? If it's seperate modes, I kind of thing it's a little unconvienent, because I'd have to load the next disc which is mode X when I was in the middle of playing mode Y and friend/family/etc comes over/messages me to play with him.

Whatever though, multiple discs never mean nothing more, especially with my 360 just a step away from the bed.

So wait let me get this straight! You mean I will have to stand up from the sofa and then walk 7 feet to my 360 then if all that pain and humiliation was not enough then I have to open my 360 and change a disc? Wait theres still more? You mean then I will have to walk all the way back those 7 feet back to the sofa to play the game again? Oh Dear God why do you hate us so.

I'm saying that "most" platforms use DVD9 because that's all they need. 360 and PS3 may be a different story here soon.

PS3 will never need Blu-Ray. Hell it's so much like a PC I don't see why developers aren't using CDs and installing games on the HDD, oh wait Sony is pushing Blu-Ray down everyone's throats.

[QUOTE="AdobeArtist"]How out of shape are you if you can't change a disc? :roll:oback

How lame is it that you have to deal with multiple discs or take up more HDD space? Doesn;t having more discs (ones without any extra scratch protection) open the door for at least one disc to be ruined by scratches?

Why have multiple discs when you can have it all on one?

a COW complaining about a game taking up more HDD space?!?!??!

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes the irony of that statement is too funny.

To be honest PS3 doesn't need a Blu-Ray because it has a standard HDD just like PC

PS3 will never need Blu-Ray. Hell it's so much like a PC I don't see why developers aren't using CDs and installing games on the HDD, oh wait Sony is pushing Blu-Ray down everyone's throats. thirstychainsaw

I wasn;t speaking for PS3 owners when I made the HDD comment. Didn't MS sell a core 360 system without a HDD? Yes. therefore devs cannot develope games with storing on the HDD in mind. Not without giving a cold shoulder to the core owners.

Yea they can. Anyone that bought a core is not going to feel burned seeing as they bought the gimped console to begin with.

Core owners bought the core knowing that they wouldn;t be able to play certain games? I don;t think so. they may have known that going online or saving movies wouldn't happen but not to be cut out of certain games.

I think you're way off.

Most people will play the Single Player once or twice then put it away and not touch it for a year.....

So What is the big deal?

Cows blowing this out of proportion. It's going to mean much in the scheme things. Multi-discs games will still sell and i'll still play them so i don't really care.

If its a situation where there's so much content that you either need multiple discs or have to use the HDD it is far from Oblivion.

Smart people don't buy the core because it is a rip off, If you were stupid enough to buy the core, It is your fault.

Probably the biggest game of 2007 will be Halo 3 for the Xbox 360. Gamers have been waiting for this sequel since Halo 2 came out in 2004 on the original Xbox. Bungie finally announced the releasedate last month: September 26. We've all had a chance to play the Halo 3 beta but the singleplayer of Halo 3 is still a big mystery.

Today Microsoft released the official boxarts of both the Normal Edition, Special Edition and the Legendary Edition. When you look at the Special Edition box tough, you'll notice three separate discs: Game Disc One, Game Disc Two and Bonus Features. Does this mean Halo 3 will be on two discs?

Nothing official on this but the picture surely says enough. It could be a mistake or the singleplayer and multiplayer are put on separate discs or something. Check the picture out below and jump to your own conclusions, but it looks like Halo 3 will be on two discs.

SOURCE

if true, I feel sorry for lemmings.xxThyLordxx

next time, i would suggest not copying and pasting the whole story ;)

but maybe we're all wrong... ever thought of that? i wouldn't assume anything just yet, but wait for the game to come out until we say anything about that

Chances of a single game getting scratched are actually more probable then a multiple game disc being scratched. Since there is 50% less chance of scracting a multidisk game if there are two discs as opposed to one.
