No sir. They're definitely not there. Cows are sulking elsewhere. Maybe the PS3 forum?
I am not easily impressed, why are some of you guys so easily impressed :|
Compare theses screens to Bioshock, mass effect or even the Darkness ffs.

I don't know, I guess Halo fans see anything that is Halo looks good.
MC in the first and third screen looks like Halo 2 btw.

Actually after playing Bioshock for many hours and the Halo 3 beta I must say Halo 3's water even at beta state is much better. Bioshock may have a bit more realistic look to it but there is way more going on with the Halo 3 water than Bioshocks. All objects in Halo 3 effect the water, so if you park a car in the water the water will go around it. That in my opinion is a lot more intresting than a pretty noninteractive water (and no Im not counting the electricity interactivity in Bioshock since thats not really what Im talking about)
In this image you can see what Im talking about with the water interacting to your body or any other object, and items even float and then sink to the bottom when dropped in.
[QUOTE="Ospi"]My god, the water looks better than Bioshocks.MadExponent
I agree completely. I was expecting Bioshock's water to be mind blowing, but it wasn't.
Bioshock has some great looking water, the only problem with it is that its way too scripted. It doesnt really interact with anything which is why I think Halo's water is way more intresting since it has more depth than just good looks.
i think your right mostly, i do however feel that though the water in bioshock is only really there for show it adds so much to the atmosphere of the game; the water running down the stairs, dripping down walls and spraying out the sides of leaking doors kinda tells the story of the city, whilst looking awsome at the same time. But the surface of the water and effects in halo 3 are probably the best technically.
Halo serious does rock, the gameplay that is at least. Those graphics aren't amazing by any means, especially with today's standards. They are average to good at best. Anyways, who cares! The game will rock, and thats for sureEcho13791
I don't get how you say those are average, they look better than Gears and the Water is better than Bioshock technically with more interactivity.

Yeah Bioshocks water is like Halo 3's plant foilage on the walls and everywhere else. For the most part the plants on the walls dont interact with the game world but it gives a lot of life to the game. Though supposedly a lot of the pants will be interactive also, you can see that in the ign montage as the warthog drives by the bush and it moves.
Anyway overall the Water added a lot to Bioshock, but in a technical stance Halo 3 has better water.

Gears has horrible draw distance and the textures cut in and out since they are streamed. Overall Gears is pretty blurry and although it does look good the game looks nothing compaired to Halo 3's crisp and clean look.

I agree. I'm not saying gears has bad graphics though.[QUOTE="justforlotr2004"][QUOTE="adriancostin83"][QUOTE="justforlotr2004"][QUOTE="Echo13791"]Halo serious does rock, the gameplay that is at least. I agree. I'm not saying gears has bad graphics though.Yeah, and its not like Im saying this cause Im a halo fanboy or a gears hater, I infact enjoyed Gears since its release date and just recently stoped because I accadently broke my mic and also just got Bioshock. Gears was a great step to show what next gen is capable of in eye candy, but Halo 3 overall takes that eye candy and adds life to it. Halo 3 expands on what Gears started and takes it to a new level.
Now Im not saying Halo 3 beats every game coming out in the next few years or anything like that, but it definatly has proven to everyone that was bashing it that its not just some "Halo 2.5".
Who the hell cares about the water. Hopefully the pointless things (like water) aren't taking away from other, more important things.PotatoSanLike what?
and here i thought the beta looked good lol.elite_ferns1Haha, me too.
When I died I always zoom in on the armor to see the great textures.

"If you're the kind of player who just wants yet another action-packed shooter, BioShock probably isn't for you. Its weak link is its unsatisfying no-skill-required combat, which might aim this one just over the head of the average Halo fan."

No, he said Bioshock's combat is too easy. That it wouldn't satisfy a Halo fan. Bioshock is more of an FPS/Adventure.Man, Red vs. Blue is going to be awesome with H3.rhaigun
its gonna be sweet since they got the video thing. i need to get a bigger hdd for it because of all the videos that will be on there, my gigs will be gone quick. /jk

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he saying that Halo takes more skill...which is clearly a good thing since he knocked on Bioshock for being too easy?
he thinks its too easy. yet he sucks at it.
No. He said the combat takes more skill in Halo.
"no-skill-required combat" - "might aim this one just over the head of the average Halo fan"
He is saying that Halo players look more to the combat that needs some amount of skill.
If he did say that Halo takes no skill, then shame on him. He'd fit in with some of the chumps that post here in System Wars.
