he said that halo is too easy...

No, he said Bioshock's combat is too easy. That it wouldn't satisfy a Halo fan. Bioshock is more of an FPS/Adventure.

Agreed, though when there's a lot of enemies it gets very intense and is highly satisfying if you manage to come out alive.

[QUOTE="Juggernaut140"]Aww hell na! Bioshock's water is amazing, it owns halo's.marklarmer

Actually after playing Bioshock for many hours and the Halo 3 beta I must say Halo 3's water even at beta state is much better. Bioshock may have a bit more realistic look to it but there is way more going on with the Halo 3 water than Bioshocks. All objects in Halo 3 effect the water, so if you park a car in the water the water will go around it. That in my opinion is a lot more intresting than a pretty noninteractive water (and no Im not counting the electricity interactivity in Bioshock since thats not really what Im talking about)

In this image you can see what Im talking about with the water interacting to your body or any other object, and items even float and then sink to the bottom when dropped in.

[QUOTE="Ospi"]My god, the water looks better than Bioshocks.MadExponent

I agree completely. I was expecting Bioshock's water to be mind blowing, but it wasn't.

Bioshock has some great looking water, the only problem with it is that its way too scripted. It doesnt really interact with anything which is why I think Halo's water is way more intresting since it has more depth than just good looks.

i think your right mostly, i do however feel that though the water in bioshock is only really there for show it adds so much to the atmosphere of the game; the water running down the stairs, dripping down walls and spraying out the sides of leaking doors kinda tells the story of the city, whilst looking awsome at the same time. But the surface of the water and effects in halo 3 are probably the best technically.

oh i see, so bioshock's water is just cosmetic then?

Im saying it lacks interactivity with the world, it looks great but its very scripted and doesnt much depth when it comes to interacting with the world. The Electricity part is cool but it doesnt do anything to the water directly, it only makes electricity effect through the water. If I kill someone in Bioshock in the water they just sit there, they dont float around and go down stream like Halo 3's characters and then eventually sink. Nor does the water go around objects in the water like in halo 3.

I have a feeling that it has more to do with UE3 than Irrational. Irrational had to heavily modify UE3 just to make the water do what it does. UE3 wasn't made for water to be anything more than cosmetic.

Well I never said anything about it being anyones or anythings fault, Im just saying Halo 3's water is imore impressive in a technical stance than Bioshock's water.

Solid 30 FPS. Like its predecessors.
