Not only is tehre NO such thing as faultless, if there was, Halo 3 certainly wouldnt be it.

I'd say it just about beats out BfBC as my favorite online game of all time.

Oh comeon another one of these threads? Yes Halo 3 is great. But its not Awzum...
Its story is whatever (its better then most shooters but still not eaven near something like Brothers in Arms or Uncharted 1& 2)
The Battlefield series had vehicle BASED MP since 2002, same for Operation Flaspoint and probably loads of other games i dont know about.
The game is based on hype. It was Xbox 1s only good exclusive for a very long time and that means that of the 30 million Xboxers previus gen alot bought Halo CE and then Halo 2 (i think Halo 2 was bought by 1/3rd of the entire Xbox 1 userbase). So automaticaly loads of them bought it just cuz of Halo CE and 2 (witch were way superior in my view), and not to mention the 60 million marketing campaign set up by MS...

Nah, but seriously now. I must say that I respectfully disagree. I enjoy Halo alot but its in no way or form "The best FPS" out there. In fact I find Crysis to be far more enjoyable, but thats just me. Different strokes for different folks I guess :P

I'd say anyone who thinks ANY FPS is the best FPS is a fanboy of said FPS ... as obviously they consider it the best.

I can point out several flaws one of the most pertinent being level design. Halo 3's maps are aweful they have no flow or any of the charm as the classics from the first Halo.

Halo 3's story line is the most heroic - the entire "Finish the Fight" thing was breathtaking. The adventure that Halo 3 symbolizes is frankly unequalled this generation.Propaganda_

A completely subjective statement. Halo 3 does not symbolize an adventure, please understand terms before using them. No facts here all opinion, and to me the Halo 3 storyline has been played on sci fi several times in the last 15 years. Very cliche.

Extremely wrong, vehicles were in fps games before Halo existed buddy. Tribes is most notable (1998). Battlefield games employ a large number of vehicles. And there are several others I just don't have the time or will to list them all.

Really, my friend who is an avid Halo fan was just explaining to me the other day how high level users tank games to help their friends get higher levels and how some weapon combos are overpowered. I never claimed R2 was colourless. I said R2 was ugly(pretty bland too), and Halo looked pretty with all its colours.
