• The game sold very well (5 million copies sold to date, less than a year after launch)
• The game's critical reception was pretty good
• The game's online population is vibrant and active, unlike Halo 4

What's next on the agenda to try and downplay the success of the game?

Well earned, it's the 2nd best Halo game next to only Halo 2's fucking excellence.

Halo's butthole campaigns have no bearing on my happiness. That said the way the game has handled a lot of its content is frankly lackluster and should be considered beneath Microsoft's flagship franchise.

Well earned indeed. The multiplayer is fantastic. Mechanically it's one of the best FPS's in a long time. Been playing since day one and the game just gets better and better.

Currently a bit addicted to Warzone Firefight.

I still say Halo 5's Campaign is still the weakest parts of the game but the MP however is fantastic. It's been awhile since I even played Halo 5 MP, I do need return to playing it. Overall, congratulations to 343 industry and MS for the successful Halo 5 game.

The game is fantastic, it deserves good sales.

The campaign is horrible, but the multiplayer is good fun. Maybe I should try to play it again. I know there was a big update that I need to try. I see that happening this weekend.

It's multiplayer is too good. Definitely something I've been missing out on. I need to hop back into it.

so only 25% of Xbone users bought it (Based on 20 million total Xboners). That's not as good as, say, Mario Kart 8 which had a 75% buy rate among Wii U owners (which is insanely good), but still very good. It was definitely successful, but I think M$ needs to do something to refresh Halo and make it exciting again. They can't keep recycling the same enemy AI in Story Mode.

Yes both Halo and Call of duty games sell well and both have "active players". Nobody is saying otherwise.

Both Halo 5 and most CODs got an 8.0 score.

Both are for casuals.

@beavis: bungie in its prime doesn't exist anymore so kind of irrelevant. I think people just look at bungie halo with rose colored glasses because halo is one of the games that defined molding their experience as a gamer.

Gameplay wise, Halo 5 is as good as the Bungie games to me.

When it comes to the campaigns? Yep.

One must not try so hard to troll. Trolling should come natural like breathing.

nope. except for ODST and half of Halo 2 those campaigns are fantastic.

Anyways, off topic but 343I Halo 5 official forums are the best forums (technically speaking in terms how the forums work) I think I've ever used on the Internet, so much better than the Ganespot one its not funny, I wish gamespot used something like that.

Anyways, glad to see the game doing well I'm really enjoying Firefight, very challenging. For those who don't like the req system, you get free daily packs now just for logging into the game.

Somewhat serious question time: Is "since" exclusive or inclusive?

As in, since Halo 3 = Halo 3, ODST, Reach, 4; OR since Halo 3= ODST, Reach, 4? Because one is a whole lot more impressive than the other, despite either scenario being very positive.

How does the multiplayer stack up against the multiplayer of CS or BF series?

My fav multiplayer game is Battlefield series, have always wondered whether i'd enjoy Halo series' multiplayer or not.

You know whats funny? the official xbox forums suck, but the halo and gears forums are amazing.

Much better then any other MP out there. Depends on your preference but if you like BF that would be like playing warzone or BTB in halo (larger player counts, vehicles, bigger maps etc) CS is like playing arena.

Halo has the highest skill gap though, everything is even and TTK is high so it's more pure skill then the other games. If you can be good at halo, you can be good at any game

As it should. I've been playing Warzone Firefight. It's a ton of fun.

The core gameplay of Halo 5 is probably the best FPS gameplay I've ever played on a console, and some of the best I've ever played period. Everything feels so fluid and precise while still being very satisfying.

343's post-launch support has been fantastic. The Forge mode is fantastic and the amount of extra content they've patched in has been excellent.

That's so promising.

Apparently, the next game will be on PC so i shall grab it .....i do hope they release this one on PC as well tho

Thank you char. I get that some don't like the campaign. It's my least favorite as well, but I still had fun with it. For those that don't want to read comics and books, the info is in the MCC, just find and watch all the terminals.

But the fact is Halo is still a strong title. I'll tell ya, Warzone Firefight is so tough it makes Dark Souls seem like Disney Infinity at times. If you can jump on because its so worth it.

Exclusive then? Still impressive, just not as. I mean, I assume the MP population in Reach, 4, MCC while not as big as Halo 3 was still pretty damn healthy, so this is by no means a small achievement.

Surpassing Halo 3 will likely be super hard though (in terms of MP population/popularity).

@cainetao11: I pretty much just go through all the Halo lore from Halo Channel and it came in handy for me at least. The last time i even read any Halo books is Cole Protocol. These days, I just don't have the time to read any novel books.
