Halo 5 Has More Active Players Than Any Halo Game Since Halo 3

I am not questioning that it was sold to retailers in fact that is my argument 5 million sold to retailers,in fact i claim they probably sold 5 million to retailers on day 1,still that means nothing is stuffing the channels a practice done by MS for 2 generations already and even more this one.

The gaming world never acknowledged Halo 5's existence to begin with. Uncharted 4 will gobble up GOTY awards like candy and be remembered as one of the defining games of this gen. Halo 5 will be remembered as the 3rd failed Halo game in a row.

Uncharted is a multiplayer game

No one buys it for the multiplayer though. People buy Halo for the multiplayer and still stop playing after a week. It hasn't had a community since 3.

No one bought or played Halo 5 at all though. That's the part you don't seem to be understanding. They had to give it away for free for a week just to get anyone to try it. That's embarrassing for what is supposed to be a flagship franchise.

I would go back but I'm hooked on overwatch for my multiplayer shooting right now. I'm sure my aiming is gonna blow when I go back as I'm used to keyboard and mouse now and a game pad is gonna feel foreign to me since I haven't played a shooter on a console in a really long time.

The community has been growing back slowly with all of the positive moves 343i has made recently. It's nowhere near halo 3 levels, but it's not completely dead. Halo 5 has a bigger population than halo 4 in the same time period and has had a bigger population than that game for months now.Also there is no evidence to state the Uncharted 4 has actually outsold halo 5 yet. Last data we had for the game indicated that it sold around 3 million in it's first week.I don't think the game has sold more than 1.5 million in the last month or so since the week of it's launch.

I wouldn't say it's a massive success, but it's not a massive failure either.They still have a lot to be happy about with the positive reception their post launch support has gotten from people playing the game.

It sold approximately 5 million in 3 months, if that's not a success then no game is a success.

considering it's received headlines for the biggest launch ever for a Halo game with $400 million in the revenue in the first week, is arguably the best exclusive FPS this gen so far in terms of a complete package of multiplayer and singleplayer, and that's coupled with the recent news of it's active player count being the best since Halo 3, I'd say "massive success" is a fair description..

I've broken down all of the sales metrics for the guy from A-Z in a completely undeniable fashion but he's a brick wall, he's not a cow but he's so convinced with what he thinks he knows rather than evidence presented to him that he completely disregards reality in favor of what he thinks.

Not surprised, I hated Halo ODST and halo 4, but I love Halo 5, def the best halo since Halo 3 or Halo 2.

Campaign could be better but the multiplayer is fantastic, not to mention all the post release support they have done.

It is a successful game, but at the same time I do think 343i and MS are probably a bit disappointed that it's not selling more than it is and that it did not really push the xbox one much when it launched. They are definitely happy that that the amount of people playing the game has been above what they expected and is still growing.

What makes you think Microsoft is disappointed with $400 million in revenue in the first week and potentially 5 million copies sold in the first 3 months?.. What makes you think 343i is disappointed when their Halo 5 multiplayer is being touted as among the best in Halo history and has the most active players since Halo 3?..

I have yet to win a damn firefight match. I've gotten close a few times, but the damn giant goblin grunt or Warden eternal are ridiculous. Super fast to get into matches though.

It's rough. I'll win like 1 out of every 5 i play. Especially the protect the missions. Those seem near impossible. It seems you can only win when every uses their reqs, and the right ones for the job.

So it must be the truth if it's considered a troll attempt when I'm not trolling.

The only thing that tells me is that halo actually has standards where uncharted does not. There is a reason why UC4 failed to break 3 million the first week with digital physical and bundles combined, no sane person would spend $60 on a 9 hour long game that they'll never play again. That's what redbox and game fly are for. Now uncharted 4 is irrelevant. Halo 5 hitting 16.5 million players, that's about 16.4 more than the number of players online in all Sony Games combined. That's just embarrassing
