jk. Looking forward to picking this up sometime after christmas. I think there they packed enough fanfare to make this a solid purchase.

It's about what I expected for the game.

The remake would have been truly spectacular if it was a remake of the campaign and the multiplayer with the original CE engine. How awesome would it be to play Hang Em High with updated graphics and the original CE engine as opposed to the Reach engine?

Add in new Firefight maps based off of the campaign levels of Combat Evolved and this could have been the greatest damn remake ever. As it stands, it's Halo: CE campaign and the rest of the stuff is Halo: Reach.

No, it wasn't. General hype has been AA. A few fanboys have stated AAA/AAAA but anyone expecting this to be anything other than fan service was just that, a fanboy.

They never announced any of this. This is just me stating what I would want. They were very upfront with it from the moment it was announced so it met hype and did what MS said it would do. The lack of trolling in this thread is disturbing, let me contribute. Finally, that is the score the original deserved. The lack of overhypeness makes reviewers see clearly it seems. Also, clear GS bias that doesn't review PS3 HD remakes. The GOW Collection and ICO collection both deserve a 9 like their Metacritic scores. The only one they reviewed was the Splinter Cell Collection and that one sucked.kuraimen

Wow, so a 9.7 game goes all the way down to an 8.0 for its remake? Then again, that's not so shocking as Sonic Adventure, a 9.2, going all the way down to 5.7 for its GC port. Cloud_765
