Oh I remember the days of the original Halo...Must have played that campaign 10 times through one after another, and co-op with my brother a few times as well.

And then we moved into LAN parties with the Xbox system link, and had big 8v8 sessions spread out throughout this one guys house with little groups in their own rooms. It was sooooo funny to hear someone yell, or cheer in the house when something exciting happened.

Basically throughout the entire generation I played that game with friends, and had the campaign going.

It's one of few games I'd give a perfect 10 to for just bringing hundreds of hours worth of enjoyment, and dozens upon dozens of friends together (I met a ton of people through Halo years and years ago that are still my friends today). I can't wait to get my hands on the remake.

I believe the plan is to have a big 360 Halo LAN party this Christmas holiday when a friend is in town. We have like six or so 360s ready to go, and a handful of big screen TVs, and some computer monitors as well. It'll be one glorious Christmas that's for sure.

However for anybody else who doesn't (including me) it was a horrible mess and i had no idea wtf was going on lol.

Time and/or getting a review copy.

They can't review every game (obviously), so maybe they just didn't have time when those other collections released.

OR it's possible that Sony didn't send Gamespot a free copy of those games.

I'm surprised it scored so highly. FPS's have moved on since the original Halo came out, so 80% or 8/10 seems like quite a good score. I personally wouldn't buy the game as I think the halo series is actually terrible, and the repetitiveness of the later stages of Halo are too mind numbing to have to sit through again.

My dad is a huge Halo fanboy, it's one of the few series he'll play. Hoping I get to blast through this remake co-op when I see him over Thanksgiving. Why he won't just cave in and buy his own 360 I'll never know.WithoutGraceXII
