same here. I suck at multiplayer shooters, but I always make an exception to be terrible in Halo multiplayer, lol. And it's usually a fun campaign, too.

Can we talk about the sound design for a second? For years they have been telling us that the sound is very important. They even made a ton of videos showing how they've recorded real weapons, etc. Was that a prank? All human weapons sound dull af, and those grenades! oh my god. I don't think i've ever heard shittier sounding grenades in any genre of video games. Nades sound hasn't progressed, but regressed, and by a shitton. I just cannot get over how poorly it sounds. And that little flame that pops up on an explosion🤣Looks like the kind of nades you'd seen in SpongeBob cartoon. How hard is it to have good sounding grenades in your game, a game where nades are literally spammed like no other titles?

You can say that i am nitpicking all you want, but when your game is THE flagship title of a multi billion dollar company, and indie devs like BSG have such superior sound design on everything, i don't know wtf you're doing. Maybe they're aiming for kids and teens, that's why they're not paying attention to detail, knowing they won't notice nor pay attention to it.

To me Infinite looks dated as heck, not sure if it's because the og xbox one is the reason or not.

The gameplay looks like classic Halo, which is awesome, but multiplayer gaming has changed so much, and I don't think the masses are going to flock to Halo over Fortnite, Battlefield, and COD.

I'm always in shock whenever they show footage of Halo Infinite though. 343 always claims the footage or demo is a couple of months old, but at this point that's not a good excuse when the game is supposed to release in DECEMBER!!

Also, it's a technical preview ... I'd wait for the actual release to pass any judgment on graphics and stability.

I watched someone play the MP beta or whatever it's called, and the entire time I was turned off by the sound.

Infinite needs some major re-work in ALOT of areas, but I think 343 is just going to fix and polish the best they can, since a rework on anything would probably cause a delay.

So bananas and grenade sounds. I'm sure if you keep digging you'll find some other stuff to fuel the obsessive hate.

One positive i can say about the sound, tho, its the shield regen sound. That iconic sound better stay for all future Halo games.

Don't you worry. When its out, i'll get it on GP, and find a lot of quality things to talk about😎

Let's not pretend the PS5 doesn't suffer from the same problem. Porting PS4 games doesn't scream "next gen."

I wanted to be blown away by the graphics. I still am not.

I'm sure the game will still be fun, and I will still get it because I love Halo, but I really wanted the presentation to be impressive. Halo 3 was impressive (despite the trolls who were probably not old enough to even play it when it was originally released), so was Halo 4. I thought Halo 5 looked solid, though the game is mostly forgettable.

I want amazing graphics, I want to see the technical leap, and with the money that was spent I had every right to expect it.

I won't make judgment until it is released.

For one, that's not physics. There are absolutely no physics applied to that interaction in Halo or COD. That's a gameobject being destroyed and instantiating a particle effect on destruction. Physics don't apply there.

Second, assessing the quality of a game based on whether one banana explodes when you shoot it or all of them is..... so unfathomably and profoundly inconsequential.

But the Internet is the Internet, and the Internet likes being unhappy. Plebs. So many plebs. Having opinions on subjects they're ill-informed to have opinions on. Being wrong about those opinions. Plebs, I tell you...

Sir, its not only grenades audio, its also that grenade random flame pop up. Grenades don't explode with a bunch of flames coming out of it, its not a gasoline container.

I haven't seen such a low effort from a AAA dev in very long time. What were they thinking?

why are you comparing weapons in Halo to real life. Its a fictional universe. If you are going to judge weapons in this game based off realism why don't you just go full clown mode and criticize the "realism" of energy swords, plasma rifles, needlers, plasma pistols, banshees and Grunts.

Because its a standard grenade, not some alien tech. And also because they had halo 1, halo 2, halo 3, odst, rech, halo 4 and halo 5 where it wasn't this messy.
