Mass Effect is a new IP, the devs making it doesn't make it a proven game. Mass Effect is still unknown. By your arguement, every game a succesful dev make is proven:? AM2 made Virtua Fighter, a succesful game. If AM2 makes another game its automatically assumed to be a proven title. I don't get your logic:|

but at least people have seen something from Mass Effect, at least we have an idea where the game is going, so maybe someone can say, hey it looks good AAA, or AA or that it looks terrible and you lose faith in it, but Killzone? nothing, nada! to hype this game is insanity. of course this game can be the greatest thing ever, mediocre or a piece of junk, but my advice to you is to calm down and wait till we see something! anything at all about this game instead of CGI movies.

Game insiders are calling it the best FPS ever made, don't judge people by their past work, devs know how to improve.

BUT, i still think its freaking crazy to hype this game until we see something concrete from Killzone and for that we have to wait till E3.

You are posting in System Wars which is a place where only GS's Review Scores count. If you don't like it then go to Neogaf, IGN, 1UP, or wherever. I do not buy games based on GS nor do I use GS's review to determine that. I use a multitude of reviews from GR. Regardless of which in this place we post called System Wars only GS scores are relevant to discussion. Halo has dominated the FPS market on CONSOLES from the time the orginal Xbox came out until the present day we live in. Final Fantasy has not been dominating 20 years lol.

Regardless of what review site you use, rating scale or even GR. Final Fantasy has not been dominating. good to hear but even if the gamepro editor would have said that Halo 3 was better than anything out there, I would want more links and more people saying that before I would even think about spreading it around as fact, and even then I wouldn't do it until its released.

I can't believe anything these people in the industry say until the game is in our grubby little hands, I stopped with the hype ever since gamefan(anyone remembers that magazine?) gave Silpheed 3 perfect scores of 100. I bought the damn game and I wanted to kill someone after playing it. :cry: I'm still suffering over that, my friend still thanks me for taking the game to his house first before he had a chance to buy it.

I mean, it's one thing to state that KZ2 will beat Halo 3. There's a snowball's chance in hell it could happen, but still a chance? But the whole FPS world? This kid should do standup. Maybe he can replace Dane Cook...

Sony had a lot of confidence in the first Killzone, too. The hype sold a lot of copies of it, despite the documented problems within the game. Like another overhyped turd--Enter the Matrix. Fanboys hyping this thing this much means that it will never live up to the expectations. So when Halo 3, Metroid Prime 3, GTA IV, etc. eat into Killzone 2's sales, those same fanboys will blame the release date, and not the fact that they helped Sony overhype it, and Guerilla and Sony's failure to deliver on the title's promise.

Stop saying the game is great and will rule all FPS's when you know squat about it.

Killzone has to get through Half-Life and Call of Duty first.
For Killzone, that would be like taking on a Challenger 2 with an AK-47.Doom_HellKnight
