Its become a standard refrain from Pc fanboys, and those that hide behind them' "halo is mediocre compared to PC fps"
Now, as someone who played so much fps on PCs that i just got plain bored of the genre, i recently played Halo 1 on the PC and Halo 2 on my 360 and my fairly low expectations where absolutley blown away.
The set pieces, the open enviroments, the vehicle battles, the sheer sense of personality from the bad-guys, and the wonderfully balanced controls all added up to some of the most entertaining gaming experinces of my life, and you know what, gamerankings.com and millions of gamers around the world would seem to agree.
Now I can see how someone could simply find the setting and tone of the game unappealing (personally i find contempary military shooters boring as hell) and i guess you could have a personal preference for keyboard and mouse - its easier and more accurate after all (i personally prefer the added challenge of thumbsticks - markmanship is pretty hard in the real world you know), but to outright dismiss the halo series as "average" or "mediocre" seems to be a pretty bad case of sour grapes to me.
It all sounds a little like  "wah wah fps belongs on PC, its not fair that a console shooter gets so much love, wah wah"
If Halo is indeed mediocre or average, would you kind people please point me towards this undiscovered pile of amazing fps games that have reduced it to such a status, because i for one would love to play them.
