Well if we go by gamespot
Halo (9.7) + Halo 2 (9.4) + Halo 3 (9.5) = 28.6
MP (9.7) + MP2 (9.1) + MP3 (8.5) = 27.3
Therefore Halo is better
And people saying Halo was only a success for its multiplayer are wrong. Sure LAN parties were awesome, as was splitscreen but there was no XBL, Halo was just as successful due to its brilliant campaign.

On GameRankings, Metroid Prime (96.35%) is more highly rated than any of the Halo games (the highest of which is the original at 95.58%). Therefore, Metroid Prime is better.LOL Gamerankings. Youre just choosing sites to suit your argument. Metacritic (which is much better than GR) has the highest of each series at 97.
All thats irrelevant though, as only GS scores matter here.
Halo > Metroid. Sorry.
You're just choosing sites to suit your own argument. Pot calling the kettle black? At least aggregate sites tell us what English-language critics as a whole think of a game, whereas GameSpot only tells us what a single reviewer thinks. Stop being so narrow-minded.And no, Metacritic is not better than GameRankings. Metacritic is only better when it comes to recent games, but when it comes to older games, GameRankings is far superior, collecting many older reviews that Metacritic ignores. For Halo, Metacritic has 68 reviews to GameRankings' 76 reviews, while for Metroid Prime, Metacritic has 70 reviews to GameRankings' 84 reviews. Since GameRankings includes much more reviews than Metacritic for both Halo and Metroid Prime, GameRankings' score is a much better indicator in this case...
Metroid Prime (96.35%) > Halo (95.58%). Sorry.
