Halo: Reach Will Be Biggest Game Of 2010, Microsoft Says - this juicy. :P

Talk is cheap. Lets wait and see.

Going by past experience of each Halo game being pretty similar to the last, I expect it to follow this trend. But hey! I could be wrong! It could have all new characters, a new story, new setting, a new antagoist, maybe evn new protragonist!

Shyah! And monkies might fly outta my butt!

But like me you have no proof that it will have any of this. Just hope. And in my eyes, past experience tells me it likely won't. It might, but if I was a betting man I wouldn't take that bet.

if Ms puts a marketting budget and builds anticipation for it like they have done with Halo, Halo 2 and Halo 3. Then yeah it will be one of the bggest games, I'm not sure about the biggest but the hype was huge for the previous iterations

Expect even bigger marketing stunts by MS for Reach then Halo 3. If you are on your tv, comptuer, or listening to the radio for more then 5 seconds you will hear about Halo Reach. Im excited to see how Reach is gonna differ from the previous Halo formula.

MW2 didnt need that "finish the fight" hype to be ultra successful and pretty much a household name to everyone this year. It just needed to be a great sequel with an amazing track record for a great competitive mp, as well as the next big game IW is making.

ODST was 500,000 copies short of outselling Halo 3 in one day (Halo 3 sold 2.5 million in one hour, ODST sold 2 mil) and it wasnt even that hyped. We all knew it was more of a great expansion, but we all bought it anyway due to the fact that we cant get enough of Halo and it was a Bungie made game. Just think how crazy Reach hype will be, especially if it really is as amazing as the critics are saying at the moment (VGA's here we come!)

I will take that bet. It probably will be the highest selling game next year, unless GeOW3 comes out. Then again Halo will still probably be the biggest selling game next year.

I am quite shocked - the Halo stuff was predictable but what I thought would get Booo's and flames and why I said it's juicy is for these kind of comments from Aaron:

New Halo's are always great for a couple of reasons. One, I do love the series and the games are always fun. Two, its always interesting to see the marketing blitz that MS rains down upon us all. And three, its hilarious to see the damage control when the game scores well and cows cry.

either way I can't wait for it, ODST was such an incredible game, and having read the Reach novelisation I CANNOT WAIT for this game. I just hope they do some good marketing. And I really hope they do another game later on to deal with what happened to Master Chief and Cortana. Such an awesome franchise despite what all the COW's say.

Claiming to show all in game stuff on the planet Reach at the VGA makes me feel better about a 2010 launch. That and the fact ( me thinks :P ) that Gears 3 will be announced for a 2011 date. I think Reach will indeed make it's appearance in the 2010 gaming year. :)
